Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style – Packaged to Go

Welcome to another Saturday of Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style.  Today we are packaging our gifts up — ready to go!  I enjoy putting together a lot of small gifts for friends, neighbors, service workers, etc.  The gifts are never fancy or expensive, but just something to say *thanks*, *I appreciate you*  or *Merry Christmas*.  Taking a small gift and making it look special is something I have always enjoyed, and I think the Design Team girls had a fun time with this one as well!

I made a set of 3 simple general purpose note cards, encased them in a Clear Box with some envelopes, and then wrapped the boxed gift set in a FUN black and white polka dotted Bitty Bag.

On the right is the boxed set of 3 cards and on the left is the decked out Bitty Bag to encase the gift set of cards.

All paper used is from BoBunny’s Enchanted (I’m hooked on this pad)

Stamps used are JustRite’s Botanical Butterflies.

Ink used is VersaFine Onyx Black, my fav for crisp, black images.

I’ll start with the cards and then move on to the bag construction.

This trio fits nicely into the A2 Clear Boxes along with 3 envelopes. The cards are a standard 4.25 x 5.5″.

3D Foam Squares elevate the focal image and balance it over the ribbon.

This is my favorite layout and orientation — nothing too exciting — I just like the simplicity of it.

Ribbons used are by May Arts: 5/8″ Pleated Satin in black, 1/8″ Velvet in pink.

They are wrapped around the card front and easily adhered with Scor Tape.

Rhinestones in light pink are by Kaisercraft.

Now let’s take a look at the bag.

This is one of the Bitty Bags – such FUN bags and easy to create a WOW presentation.

Since I was going to be applying quite a bit of *stuff* to my bag top, I wanted to reinforce it with a heavy cardstock to accomodate all the weight I would be adding.  I used a piece of cardstock cut the width of the bag x 2″ wide.  Using Scor Tape I adhered it to only what will become the upper part of the bag topper so my bag will open easily for the recipient.

Once decorated, here’s a look at the bag topper from the inside.

See how the bag still opens.  The bag is totally reusable if the recipient should so choose, or just fun to keep on hand to fill with your own odds and ends.  I used Velcro to open and close the bag, and in retrospect, after viewing these photos, I really should have grabbed a black one.

And here’s the focal image of the bag topper.  Items used to decorate the topper are:

Botanical Butterflies clear set by JustRite – Acrylic BlockVersa Fine Onyx Black InkPink Rhinestones

Ribbon by May Arts:  1.5″ Satin Pleats (black), 3/8″ Velvet (pink)

Divine Twine Baker’s Twine – Black/white

Prima Fairytale Roses – Orchid

Scor Tape3D Foam Squares

And that’ll do it for today’s project.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.
