Bo Bunny Father Christmas Card Kit & a Winner!

We’ll start with our blog candy winner from Saturday’s Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style.  We were focusing on packaging last Satuday and this week the winner was chosen from Deb’s Blog.   Our lucky winner is

Rebecca Ednie from Canada

Congrats! Rebecca.  Email me at [email protected] to claim your prize!  You can see Rebecca’s winning package here.

Thank you to all who played along!  We love having you come each week to see our creations.

Today I made up the 8 cards included in Bo Bunny’s Father Christmas Card Kit.  These Card Kits by Bo Bunny are wonderful projects for someone who truly is limited in time AND they would make fabulous projects for younger children/girls or even women with stiff arthritic fingers who have trouble doing  more intricate hand work.  They make up quickly, all you need is tape (scissors aren’t even needed), they come with instructions for 8 cards, the chipboard is peel and stick, the die cuts punch out, the sentiments are clear stickers (some Kits contained rub-ons)  and envelopes are included.  A totally inclusive package — start to finish in short order!

These are all 8 cards made from Bo Bunny’s Father Christmas Card Kit.

The cards are in a variety of sizes and each card comes with an envelope to fit.

It’s hard to tell in this photo, but the bell is chipboard and the JOY is a sticker.

The one thing I have done on each card that is NOT included in the Kits is to add a few rhinestones.  Just that little bit of glitz added to each card gives them that bit of pop that really brings them to life!  I used Kaisercraft Rhinestones in Lippy Red, Bronze, Silver, Split Pea and Mint.

The round sentiment is chipboard and I’ve added rhinestones.

Another tip — if you sand the edges of the paper die cuts they’ll turn white and they’ll pop a lot better against the dark background papers.

So quick and easy!

Layers of die cut paper, chipboard and sentiment stickers.

Again — quick and easy — the pieces are all even numbered so you know which card to put them on.

This is the first card I made in the Kit and I wasn’t in the groove yet — LOL  I was supposed to apply a sticker sentiment, but I went and stamped NOEL just automatically.  But it works. It’s  a wood mount stamp by Wordsworth.  The tag, bell and floral are all chipboard (self-adhesive).

A layered poinsettia, edges sanded.

Again, layers of die cut paper and chipboard with sticker sentiment.

Again, please note the  rhinestones DO NOT come with the Kits.  I have added them on afterwards.

These are the cards made with the Timepiece Card Kit.

You can read this post to see all the individual Timpiece cards.

And you can read this post to see cards made from Garden Girl Kit.

All Bo Bunny Card Kits similar to those shown can be seen here.

All items shown available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

Now let me direct you to some GORGEOUS projects a few of the Stamp Simply DT girls have been creating:

Is this little guy adorable, or what!  I love how richly Holly has colored him.  AND she used the Bo Bunny Father Christmas 6×6 pad, from the same collection as the Card Kit I showed you above.  You can see the full post on Holly’s Blog.  She used Alex in the Snow with Puppies by Stampavie.

And here’s a peek at a signature circle creaton by Michelle using JustRite’s Botanical Butterflies clear set.  Love these fresh colors!  Michelle used paper by My Minds EyeEveryday Flair –  and other pretties.  You can see Michelle’s full post on her blog here.

And Deb has used Kanban’s Cafe set again — I SO love this set!    She is also using My Mind’s Eye Paper A Beautiful Life — a beautiful pad!  And I love her use of the Prima Trinket Flower with the Striped Twill — a lovely pairing!  You can see Deb’s full post on her blog here.

And here’s a little peek at something to look forward to if you like stamps such as Cafe above:

LOVE that vintage bathtub and all the pretties!  It’ll be in stock on Thursday evening ready for Friday shipping.  It’s called Mocha Boudoir.

This beautiful set is also arriving on Thursday – Peacock.

Hi, Sharon. Beautiful cards, as usual. Love all the deep, rich Christmas colors. However, it’s
too bad about the Wordsworth stamp….it has the trema (two dots) over the wrong vowel. They
should be over the “e”, not the “o”…..and yet, none but us Francophones would probably even
notice. Gotta love those kits for last minutes cards. And now I must get back to making mine!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  9. Thanks so much! I am thrilled to win! I cant wait to get everything! Thanks to Carol for the congrats too how sweet!
