Scroll Vine Wedding

I needed to come up with a quick wedding card this weekend.  Ben and Jessie attended a wedding and wanted a card for a gift of money.  I knew exactly what to do as this had to be done quickly as they were due to leave shortly.  I asked them what color the invitation was and it was black, white and silver — perfect — an easy color combo for a quick card.

I used Scroll Vine Background by JustRite.  It is so perfect for a quick card, leaving you clean empty space for your sentiment (or ribbon)  – I chose to use a sentiment this time.

The image and sentiment are stamped in Versa Mark and embossed with Super Fine Embossing Powder in Silver, using a heat gun.

The embossed panel is layered onto a panel of Mirror Cardstock in Silver Silk.

This card is standard A2 size, 5.5 x 4.25″.  It was inserted into an A2 Clear Box both for protection and for gift presentation at the wedding.  The Clear Boxes always make a simple card look like a true gift!

The sentiment is from Wedding Nested Sentiments by JustRite (and it’s on SALE!).  This Mr. and Mrs. has been a long time favorite of mine for wedding cards and many of you have seen me use it over and over (and OVER)!

1/8″ and 1.25″ Silk Ribbon were used in Black.  The bow is made on the Original Bow Easy.

The inside sentiment is also from Wedding Nested Sentiments – it contains some beautiful sentiments that work well on both cards and srapbook pages.

I used a small piece of paper from Kaisercraft’s After Five Collection to create a pocket to insert the gift of cash.  The shiny silver sheet from the 6×6 pad was perfect! Using Scor Tape on the 2 sides and bottom of the pocket makes it very secure.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

We got our Christmas tree up during the week and Brian and Brittany did a WONDERFUL job of decorating it yesterday while Steve and I were out having lunch with friends leaving to winter in Texas.  It was SUCH a nice surprise to come home to!
