Deepest Sympathy

Published by at 8 05 pm under Clean and Simple,Prima,Sympathy Cards

Unfortunately, one of my sons needed a sympathy card this evening to attend the viewing of a friend’s mother, a most unexpected and untimely passing of a very young woman.  His only request was that the card be flat to fit into a standard envelope.  Here’s what I made:

It is simple and almost flat (just a few dimensionals under the sentiment).

This card is a standard 4.25 x 5.5″.

The paper used is Prima’s Botanical 6×6 pad on SU’s Very Vanilla cardstock.

All coordinates to the Botanical Collection can be seen here.

The sentiment is from the tried and true Sympathy Nested Sentiments by Justrite.

I forgot to take a photo of the card inside, but the inside uses one of the larger sentiments from the same set.

The dies used are Fancy Tags One and Fancy Tags Two, accented with Kaisercraft Pearls.

VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and 3D Foam Squares were also used.

All of the beautiful Prima 6×6 pads can be seen here.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Oh my gosh, I can totally relate. My dad passed away Dec 23 last year, so this is going to be a strange Christmas since last year was a blurr. The simplicity of your card says so much. It truly amazes me what you create in a moments notice. Well done Sharon.

I wish I would have visited your blog before I spent 3 hours agonizing over and making a sympathy card for my friend who’s husbands funeral is tomorrow morning. Your card is so perfect. Now I have a standard for other times. Thank you.

  10. […] A sympathy card — pretty because of the lovely paper and the die cut shapes — but totally quick and easy to make.  You can see more photos/details and find links to product on this post. […]
