Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style – Note Cards
Welcome to another Saturday of Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style. Today we are featuring note cards — thank you, thinking of you, blank — any type of note card that can be kept on hand and is at the ready when needed.
I had fun making my set of note cards for today, and I was on a mission to make some quick and easy, clean and simple cards to keep for myself. At this time of year I need a lot of quick little thank you cards, so I thought I’d get a head start. Well, in my *mission mode*, I totally forgot that this challenge is also a *Ribbon Inspiration* post — meaning I SHOULD use ribbon. Well, not today! I totally FORGOT — YES, I forgot about adding ribbon — dare I even say that — LOL! So here is my totally ribbon-less set of cards for today:
I opened a new pad of paper that I hadn’t used before and I just wanted to use as many of the sheets as I could. I love the combination of vintage and trendy that this pad offers. AND there is a stamp set to match, so I was good to go!
The paper used is My Mind’s Eye Rosy.
The stamp set used is My Mind Eye Rosy Everything.
All coordinates to the Rosy Collection can be seen here.
All items shown were made with the pad and stamp set linked above.
On this card I used 3 of the paper designs, allowing the printed image on the paper to serve as my focal image. I like to make cards that take best advantage of the beautiful paper designs.
Here’s another using 3 sheets of paper and again using the printed paper as my focal image. Aren’t these sheets fun!
All cards are 4.25 x 5.5″ on a base of SU Very Vanilla cardstock.
I stamped on this card — the oval *thank you* is a stamp in the set and I just stamped it right into the oval that was printed on the paper. Again, I used 3 sheets of printed paper. These go together SO quickly.
LOVE the classy look of these sheets. There’s that same *thank you*. I used Petite Oval Nesties to cut it out.
There’s a really fun mix of papers in this pad.
Again, 3 sheets of paper. I stamped the 3 half-medallions on the bottom using another of the stamps in the set.
And here’s the last. It’s one sheet covering the card front.
3D Foam Squares were used as well as Versa Fine Onyx Black and Vintage Sepia Ink.
I also used some of the fun stamps in the set to stamp on the insides of the cards.
When done I inserted all 6 cards into an A2 Clear Box where they will safely reside on my kitchen counter so I can write them out as need be at this time of year. I did put 6 envelopes in the box as well, though they are not in there in the photo — it was tight squeeze, but they did fit.
I made the belly band out of a piece of recycled postal wrap, wrapped it with black and white Baker’s Twine and adhered one of the stamped images. Quick and kind of cute! The belly band goes with the style of cards. It actually would be a cute idea for a gift one of these days.
And here’s the A2 Clear Box, minus the contents. When these cards are all used up, I plan to fill my box up again. I’m very excited at the thought of keeping this full at all times, close and handy in my kitchen so those thank you notes will get written and mailed promptly. The belly band slips right off so the box can be used again and redecorated for another theme if one wanted to.
I’m really enjoying all the My Mind’s Eye collections. You can see them all here.
All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

Thank you so much for stopping in today. As always, we love having you come and love hearing what you have to say. Thank you!
This will be the last Ribbon Inspiration post for 2011. We all need a few weeks off to spend enjoying the Christmas holiday. We will continue to create and post, but at will, not on a schedule. Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style resumes on Saturday, January 7. Hope to see you then.
In the meantime, enjoy your Christmas preparations!
See you soon!

Sharon love your note card set. Simply lovely. Thanks for sharing and for a chance to win.
Mystery blog candy! How exciting! My Mind’s Eye is one of my favorite company’s and I am inspired just looking through one of their packs of paper. Your cards are very beautiful and I will be borrowing some of the ideas for my own projects. Enjoy the season and take time for yourself. Merry Christmas
Love your cards, love your blog! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful creations. It sure helps those who are creatively challenged, lol.
Gorgeous notecard set, Sahron! I love the papers and the beautiful presentation! I have this paper pad so I am definitely going to use your designs for inspiration!

You always create such wonderful cards, and this collection is no different.
Great collection!
Love these cards, Sharon but I think my favorite touch is the torn paper bag! Too clever!
Fabulous collection of cards! It seems such a novel idea to me to have something ready BEFORE I need it, LOL. I read once that Lady Diana would have her thank you cards ready whenever she needed one, like, before she even went to the event! I M-U-S-T give this a chance. “TFS and Happy Holidays!”
Lovely note cards! Your cards always seem so effortless and I know that sometimes you must struggle too, as some of the rest of do. Thanks so much for all your inspiration and card ideas. I know I should “whip” some up for little gifts along with a set for myself. Merry Christmas!
Love the Mind’s Eye paper and stamps! Great gift idea too! Thanks for all your sharing during 2011 and may you have a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!
The cards look great even without the ribbon. Love the MME paper.
Christmas blessings,
Peggy
cute card set -this paper pad and stamp sets look awesome thanks for inspiration and sharing
I love the simple elegance of these cards, and how you made the design of these lovely MME papers work for you. Totally inspiring!!
These cards are really attractive with the twine. It shows that sometimes “less is more”. I for one tend to over-think what I’m trying to create. Well done.
You are SO creative with your use of different papers. It takes an especially creative mind to come up with the combinations you do. I love your creations!
These are 6 wonderful cards that are complete as they are. Sorry, I don’t miss the ribbon.
What a nice gift to yourself and pretty too! Anyone would love to receive such a lovely box of note cards.
Oh my gosh! Can’t believe you forgot the ribbon. LOL But these are gorgeous!
Especially like the 4th card shown – but they’re all great!
Wonderfully pretty cards, love how you took advantage and used the printed images already on the paper to your advantage and it all looks great!! One was to make some CAS cards, well not so simple on some as they are gorgeous.
Thanks for the ideas, and inspiration.
Hugs
