Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style – All Strung Out!

Welcome!  Today our weekly Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style Hop brings us some creations  using STRING.  Yes, our design team is  ALL STRUNG OUT today!  I can’t wait to see what they all come up with!  Here’s my project today using string:

The card is standard A2 sized (5.5 x 4.25″) and will be stored and presented in an A2 Clear Box (great for mailing, too)!

All designer paper is from the 6×6 Prima Pad – Almanac.

All coordinates to the Almanac Collection can be seen here, and on this card I used not only the 6×6 pad but also the Charme Roses in Almanac and the Wood Buttons in Almanac.

The stamp set used today is Botanical Medallions and Banners — one of the brand NEW clear sets by JustRite that I am really loving!  The image from that set was cut using the JustRite die made by Spellbinders that coordinates with so many JustRite Sets, Nested Oval Medallion Labels, and the gorgeous banner is cut with a brand new die made by Spellbinders for JustRite called Vintage Label and Banner Dies.  This fabulous new die set coordinates with the following JustRite cling sets:

Violette Vintage Labels

Going Places Vintage Labels

Anchors Away

Vintage Rose Medallions

I can tell you right now, I am NOT going to get enough of that banner die — I JUST love it.  I’m so glad it coordinates with so many sets!  I have that banner popped up with the smallest of the foam squares from this 3D Foam Squares package — a perfect size!

The image is stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink onto a piece from the Almanac 6×6 pad.

All coordinates to the Almanac Collection can be seen here.

The cardstock used in SU Basic Black and Very Vanilla.

Many fun things happening here.  Doing the ribbon/floral portion of a card is always a super fun part for me!  I’ve wrapped Burlap String around my card front several times.  It’s super easy.  Just apply some Scor Tape, either 1/8″ or 1/4″, to the card front.  Wrap over the tape and your strands of string stay perfectly in place, no slipping.

I created my floral bouquet using roses from the Charme Roses pack – Almanac.  These roses come in a variety of sizes, all fairly small,  and they are on wire stems.  This allows me to create a little bouquet by twisting the stems together.  I usually just cut the wire stems off once my bouquet is formed, but this time I decided to wrap my stems in 1/4″ Silk – Champagne, like how they do wedding bouquets.  It was fun for a change!

I then used Aleene’s Clear Gel Tacky Glue (super cheap from superstores) to adhere my layers.   First was a double bow of 1/4″ Silk Champagne made on the Original Bow Easy.  Next were a few bows just tied by hand using the Burlap String Black. And on top I adhered my little wired stemmed bouquet.  I am very generous with my usage of glue.  Once dried my floral/bow arrangements couldn’t be pulled apart if tried!  They are rock solid.

All string type ribbon can be seen here.

And see the button on the right?  That is from the Wood Buttons pack by Prima – Almanac.  I tied my button with the same string and glued on.  I LOVE when everything coordinates.  You just can’t go wrong when you have matching coordinates before you begin!

Here’s the inside using the same paper pad and same stamp set as linked above.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.
