Wedding Card #2 – Embossed Heart Scroll Background

I’ve lost count, but I think I need 7 or 8 wedding cards for this summer.  This is #2.  I totally enjoyed my morning making this card.  This is truly where my heart is in the world of card-making.  Some of you can sit and color for hours on end.  Well, for me that absolute enjoyment comes from just putting together a few pretty elements to create a simple, but pretty card.  I had so many little pretties to play with on this card, I was in my glory!

The background is stamped with JustRite’s NEW Heart Scroll Background, now in stock and shipping.  It was stamped with Versa Mark onto SU Very Vanilla cardstock and embossed with an old jar of SU Very Vanilla Embossing Powder I had on hand using a Heat Gun.  This background stamp is SO pretty embossed, and I’ll try to show a better photo of the embossing below.

The embossed panel is matted onto a layer of Mirror Cardstock in Gold Silk.

Here’s my ribbon/floral cluster.  I’ll just list the items used:

100% Silk Ribbon by May Arts – 1.25″ and 1/4″ in Ivory

Laraine Roses and leaf from the Sorbet package

Petal Pin by Prima from the Iced package

Embossed Heart is cut with Vintage Label and Banner Dies made by Spellbiners for JustRite (a NEW item still not received from the manufactuer, but please feel free to order.  Ordering now will insure you get a set once they do arrive — estimated date unknown, could be up to a couple weeks yet — I’ll keep you posted if you order.)

Here I’m just trying to show you a better view of the beautifully embossed Heart Scroll Background.

The Mr. and Mrs. is from Summer Words by JustRite — LOVE this for wedding cards.

It’s cut with another die from the same set linked above – Vintage Label and Banner Dies.

Here’s the inside using my favorite scripture for wedding cards – 1 Corinthians 13 by Our Daily Bread Designs.

I use VersaFine Onyx Black Ink for crisp sentiments.

And here’s my card all boxed and ready to go to the wedding in an A2 Clear Box.

It is tied with the same Silk Ribbon linked above and adorned with an Angelica Rose – the Dreamy package.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.
