Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style – Webster’s Pages
Welcome! It is Saturday once again and time for some Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style. Today we are focusing on the beautiful products by Webster’s Pages. I can’t tell you all just how much I LOVE their paper designs and embellishments. I never tire of them. We hope you’ll be inspired by our projects today. Here’s mine:
My card today has a feminine western theme. The pad I chose to use is Let’s Celebrate/All About Me/Western Romance. I’ve made cards before in the first two themes, so today I wanted to focus on the Western theme. This was totally FUN.
I really enjoy the Trim Cards that Webster’s always put out to coordinate with their pads, so today I made good use of the Western Romance Trim Card. These trim cards are a great way to add a nice variety of ribbon and trim to your stash, whether you have the coordinating paper or not. I used 3 different pieces from the trim card on this project.
At the top of my card I used the two-toned crochet lace and topped it with the miniature ball fringe. It is very easy to adhere these trims and layer them with the use of Scor Tape. I used the 1/4″ tape for the crochet lace and then the 1/8″ tape for the tiny ball fringe. Lay down your tape, peel off the protective strip, lay down your ribbon or lace on top of the tape and press — done!
My tiny sentiment is from JustRite’s Vintage Rose Medallions, cut with a JustRite Die made by Spellbinders called Charm Dies.
The ink used for the sentiment is VersaFine Onyx Black and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen was used to edge the designer paper.
The heart is elevated with a 3D Foam Square.
For the lower detail I used the same crochet lace and ball fringe but I also added a bottom layer of cotton eyelet lace from the same Western Romance Trim Card. Just like the other laces, it was applied to the card with a wider Scor Tape, and I hand pleated it as I went along, super easy to do.
My floral cluster/bow also contains a lasso this time!
The roses are Prima Fairytale Roses in Teal.
The lasso is Burlap Cord in Natural.
The bows are made of Seam Binding in Seafoam, made on the Original Bow Easy.
I also used Kaisercraft Rhinestones in Bronze and Silver to add some sparkle and glitz!
Aleene’s glues from superstores are used to hold my floral cluster/lasso together.
Once again, just a simple finish to the inside using the same paper pad.
This card is made 6.5″ x 4.75″ so that it will fit perfectly into an A6 Clear Box, both for protection until used and then for presenation as well. Everyone LOVES to get a card in a clear box — it evokes smiles and positive comments every time!
