Dare to Get Dirty x 2

Today I’ve played along with two of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges over at Splitcoaststampers, so that means I have TWO cards to share today.

Check out the Dare to Get Dirty challenges here.  You do have to be a Fan Club Member to play along, so what better time to join!  It translates to a lot of FUN with a chance at a lot of really great prizes! Now who doesn’t like that!  Check it out!!!

My first card was made for Diane Zechman’s challenge, better known as cookiestamper at SCS.

I chose to make a vintage inspired wedding card for Diane’s challenge.

This card is 5.5″ square and will fit into a 5.5″ Square Clear Box for both protection and presentation.

Paper:  Melissa Frances Attic Treasures, SU Very Vanilla

I embossed a LaBlanche image in Vanilla over the designer paper.

Seam Binding in Cream

A combination of Laraine Roses and Charme Roses by Prima

Prima Petal Pin in Iced

This view shows the beautiful LaBlanche image – Victorian Swirl.

All LaBlanche stamps can be seen here.

To emboss I used Versa Mark, SU Very Vanilla Embossing Powder, Heat Gun.

The sentiment is from JustRite’s Botanical Medallions and Banners, a clear set, stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

It is cut with a Spellbinders die made for JustRite – Vintage Label & Banner Dies elevated with 3D Foam Squares.

Two small black rhinestones were added to the banner.

And here’s the inside, using my favorite scripture for weddings – 1 Corinthians by Our Daily Bread Designs.

All Scripture stamps can be seen here.

All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

The next challenge I played was hosted by Susan Roberts, better known as rainy at SCS.

NO stamping on this card!

I used a beautiful new paper pad by Kaisercraft – The Lake House — LOVE this pad!

All Kaisercraft pads can be seen here MANY are on sale.

This card is a standard 5.5 x 4.25″ and will go into an A2 Clear Box.

As I said, NO stamping.  The larger die cut was a punch out in the paper pad — that’s one thing you’ve GOT to love about the Kaisercraft pads — they offer a LOT of pretty specialty sheets and always several pages of punchouts, like these!

Note: When I layer up the punchouts like this — I like to back them with a square or circle of cardstock, just to give them a bit more weight and stability as I apply my foam squares and build up.

The LOVE was also a punchout, but I used a Spellbinfders Die, Lacey Circles, to frame it and added a pearl.

All Spellbinders dies can be seen hereMany are at reduced prices.

The ribbon is Seam Binding in Rose Petal.

The roses are a combination of Laraine Roses and Charme Roses by Prima.

3D Foam Squares were used for elevation.

A quick little finish to the inside.  This shows the great texture on the brown sheet.

All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.
