A CAS Christmas #2

We are back today with some more clean and simple Christmas cards.  This will become a regular weekly feature here come September, but during this month of August we’re just playing everything by ear, and today felt like a CAS Christmas card day!  AND, the good news is, all the paper pads used today are ON SALE! That’s always a good thing!

Here’s what I made:

Two cards today both from the same pad – Be Merry by Kaisercraft (on sale).

Since Deb and Darsie did cards with a reindeer theme, I thought maybe I should, too, so this was my pad of choice today with that darling reindeer print!

As with all Kaisercraft pads, there are 40 sheets per pad, and all pads contain die cut punch outs in the back of the pad, and I made use of those today.  Using them on your cards makes for super quick creations.  There is NO stamping on these card fronts – just paper from Be Merry. There are several sparkly sheets, too, which I usually grab first, but today I went more “natural”.  Great pad!

This card uses the fun reindeer sheet!  It’s so simple, there isn’t much to say!  The sentiment was a punchout from the back of the pad and I added just a small Divine Twine Baker’s Twine bow.

Note: Purchasing your Baker’s Twine by the full spools saves you tons and ensures that you won’t run out!

This card made use of some fun dotted paper, a scallop border punch out from the pad, as well as a punch out sentiment.

My focal sentiment panels are popped up with 3D Foam Squares.

I added 2 small Rhinestones on this focal image, just for a bit of bling!

And here’s the inside — a simple Merry Christmas from JustRite’s Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments stamped with VersaFine Vintage Sepia Ink.

And here’s what Deb and Darsie made:

Here’s a little preview of what Deb made -  isn’t this wonderful!!!  You can see the full post on Deb’s blog.

Deb used:

Paper from the North County Collection by Prima (on sale)

Stamp by Wordsworth called Holiday Stylized (on sale)

1/4″ Silk Ribbon – Blue

Divine Twine Baker’s Twine – Brown

Kaisercraft Rhinestones – Ice Blue

And here’s a little peek at what Darsie made — FUN!  You can see the full post on Darsie’s blog.

Darsie used:

Silly Season paper by Kaisercraft (on sale)

Spellbinders Die Set – Frosty Forms

Sentiment from JustRite’s Antique Christmas Tags One

Burlap String – Green

Beautiful cards, Deb and Darsie!  Thank you SO much!!!

And since we’re talking reindeer today, no one used these, but they are always super popular for Christmas projects:

Satin Reindeer by May Arts — they can be used as ribbon or cut apart and used individually.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

These cards tempt me to change my mind – had told my husband I didn’t think I would make many cards (with the postage being what it is) – we usually send at least 50 but guess I am being tempted as these are very nice.
