JustRite Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves

We have 2 projects to show you again today.  Both Darsie and I used the same stamp set with very different results.  Darsie embossed her leaves and colored with Copics, while I created a One Sheet Wonder — remember those?  Kind of a blast from the past, but I always enjoy doing them.  Let’s begin with Darsie’s project:

This is just a peek  — you can see Darsie’s full project on her blog here.

Darsie embossed her leaves in white and colored with Copics.  They are just gorgeous!  Darsie used:

A JustRite clear set – Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves

VersaMark InkSuper Fine Embossing Powder – Detail White

Thank you, Darsie — LOVE your shabby chic leaves!

Now here’s my project — super simple, super quick, and probably WAY too many photos, but once I took them, I’ll post them all here:

A very CAS card duo using Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves – a clear set by JustRite.

I used one of the larger leaf stamps in the set to create my One Sheet Wonder.

I used a Kaleidacolor Ink Pad in Creole Spice to create my variegated leaves, and I stamped them onto a sheet of designer paper from Bo Bunny’s new autumn pad – Apple Cider.  Sometimes it just adds a bit more interest to the sheet when you stamp onto designer paper rather than a plain sheet — just depends on what look you are after.  This is very quick to create as I was just using a 6×6 sheet.  I always find these very relaxing to create — mindless stamping!!!

To create the cards I cut my 6×6 sheet into 4 pieces — 2 pieces 2″ wide (for the card fronts) and 2 pieces 1″ wide (for the card insides).

I used SU Not Quite Navy for the piping strip and for the mat to the sentiment, which is also from the same stamp set, Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves.

VersaFine Onyx Black Ink was used for the sentiment.

I was VERY tempted to add some embellishments (even just a rhinestone or two, or a little string), but I refrained from doing so as one of my sons will use these cards for thank you notes and the usual request remains — “make them as plain as you can” — LOL!!!  OK!!!

3D Foam Squares are used to elevate the sentiment panel.

Here’s the inside using those 1″ strips.

And this is just a shot of a few of my favorite sheets from the Apple Cider pad.

If you didn’t want to create a One Sheet Wonder, you could easily make this same card duo using any of the sheets from the pad, along with the sentiment from the stamp set.

This is the set both Darsie and I used today – Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves.

And that does it for this little project today.
