Let it Snow!

Let it Snow is always a fun winter theme.  And snow is GOOD — I just wish it would WARM UP!    BBBBrrrrr — has it been COLD here!  Darsie created a fun winter themed card today that warmed my heart, even amongst these below zero temps and high winds.  Take a look:

Isn’t that just darling!  LOVE that bird image, and string or twine with birds is always a perfect pairing in my book.  And I LOVE how she tucked the die-cut medallions behind the image/string.  And the sparkly borders add that bit of pizzazz!

You can see the full post on Darsie’s blog here.

Darsie used:

Stamps:  Stampavie Winter Birdhouse with Holly, JustRite Papercraft Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments

Note: MOST Stampavie stamps are reduced in price.

Paper:  Bo Bunny Snow Day

Spellbinders Die:  Die D-Lites Medallion Five

Ribbon:  Burlap String – Brown (12 color choices, available in 10 yard bundles, a sampler pack, or by the full spool)

Miscellaneous:  Stampendous Crystal Glitter, Sakura Quickie Glue Pen, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Scor Tape

All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

Bo Bunny Snow Day – the pad Darsie used today — love the blues and greens!

Spellbinder Die D-LitesMedallion Five

This is the medallion Darsie used today to tuck behind her image and the string.  Fun way to use a die cut shape to add interest to your project.  If you aren’t familiar with the Die D-Lites, they are sure worth taking a look at.  It’s a relatively new line by Spellbinders selling for only $12.99 each.  These are small pacakges of dies that are just perfect for so many projects.  They’ve been super popular, and I surely understand why.

You can see all the Spellbinders Die D-Lites here.

Basic Grey 6×6 – True Love

I also wanted to show you this pretty pad that just arrived.  You’ll be seeing some creations with these beautiful sheets real soon.  LOVE this!

True Love Die Cuts

This is a fun package of coordinating die cuts.  Some are paper, some are vellum and some are transparencies.  I always enjoy using die cuts on cards for those times when time is short.

Available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.
