Masculine Birthday Blessings

Tonight I have a quick card to show you.  This card is quite large — a full sheet folded in half, so it’s 8.5 x 5.5″ — and for good reason.  A gentleman from our congregation is turning 91.  His eye sight is failing, so I wanted a large card with large sentiments.  Also, everyone at church wants to sign it in the morning, so we needed a lot of empty space on the inside.  Mission accomplished!  Take a look:

My apologies for the glare, but the metallics in the paper were playing havoc with me!

I kept it simple, with large sentiments (inside and out), and chose a paper that would carry the card on its own.  LOVE this paper!

Stamp:  Birthday Blessings, a wood mount stamp by Wordsworth (a long-time go-to birthday stamp for me!)

Paper:  Hunt and Gather by Kaisercraft (stamp available to match paper); Copper Silk Cardstock

Sentiment elevated with 3D Foam Squares.

Sentiment is copper embossed:  Versa Mark Ink, Copper Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

Ink used to edge:  Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Bundled Sage, Tea Dye

Spellbinders Dies:  Rectangle Nesties

Here’s the stamped portion of the inside.  Again, these sentiment stamps are a good size and are from another go-to set I always turn to for masculine cards:

Stamps:  Dad by ODBD

Ink:  VersaFine Ink - Vintage Sepia

And that’s it for tonight.

All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

This is spectacular and what a great idea…..I am doing our card ministry and as we have many older members (I am one) the larger size is perfect for some of our folks who don’t see as well as they once did. Thanks Sharon
