Graduation Cards in Black and White
Today I have quite a few graduation cards to share. All VERY clean and simple, all black and white, all using the same paper pad. Makes for some very quick creations!
I am drawn to black and white for graduation cards. To me they just seem classy. And working with limited supplies means less decisions to make, allowing you to create more in less time — and that is always a good thing!

All cards today use a new 6×6 graduation paper pad we just got in stock: Cap and Gown by Doodlebug Designs
Cardstock used is black and white.
Ink used is VersaFine Onyx Black – my favorite for crisp, clear sentiments.
This first three cards are all a standard 4.25 x 5.5″.
Rectangle Nesties were used for the focal image panels on all three cards.
Two of today’s cards have tassels — just a fun touch for graduation.
You can find the tassels here — they are available in black, white and ivory.
I just put a bit of glue behind the corner of the panel to hold the string in place and a bit more under the top of the tassel.
The stamp used above is a Wordsworth wood mount stamp – Graduation.
I use 3D Foam Squares to elevate the panel for some interest.
The stamp used above is a Wordsworth wood mount stamp – To Accomplish.
This card, without the tassel, could well be used for any number of occasions – retirement, engagement, etc.
The stamp used above is a Wordsworth wood mount stamp – Casual Congrats.
On the following two cards I am still using the same paper pad – Cap and Gown by Doodlebug Design.
Both banner dies on the next two cards are from the same die set by Spellbinders: Ribbon Banners Large.
This card is a bit larger at 4.75 x 6.5″, made to fit into an A6 Clear Box.
I wanted to use that particular banner die, which was a bit too large for a standard A2 card, so I just made a larger card.
The stamp set used on both of these cards is a clear set by JustRite: Celebration Labels One and Bracket One.
This card is back to a standard A2 size.
Again, the same stamp set and die as listed above.
I’ve shown you this card a month or two ago, but since it is a graduation card and uses the same JustRite set, I’ll add it here and show it to you again. The pretty border on this card was also made with the same JustRite stamp set and a coordinating Spellbinders die.
Stamps: A JustRite Clear Set – Celebration Labels One & Bracket Borders One
Spellbinders Dies: A2 Bracket Borders One, Labels One
Ribbon: Seam Binding – Baby Pink; bow made on Original Bow Easy
Prima Flowers: A variety of flowers are available in this size. Check out: Avon Roses, Charme Roses, Encore, Laraine, Interlude (these are a bit larger), Mini Rose Stems, Godiva, Fairytale and Perles
Miscellaneous: Kaisercraft Rhinestones – Black; 3D Foam Squares; VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
Cardstock: SU Black, White and Pink Pirouette
