How many of you wrap gifts anymore?  It is just SO easy to buy a pretty bag, insert your gift, fluff up the top with tissue paper and attach a pretty tag.  Yes, I still wrap boxes at Christmas time for under the tree, but most other gifts are put into purchased bags.  You just can’t beat the convenience, plus they look so pretty, especially with a nice tag hanging on them.  And making your own tag still gives it that hand-crafted personal look and feel.

We attended a wedding on Saturday and I made this tag for the pretty black and white damask bag I purchased at Wal-Mart.

I love making tags.  Smaller canvases and anything goes as to size and shape!

I snapped this pic on my work counter as I was working to show you the layers.  Really, quite easy.

The purchased bag was black and white, but not a true, bright white.  I had no cardstock that was a really great match to this off-white.  So I opted to use SU Very Vanilla Cardstock and a Wilton Doily that had pure white and black.  In this case combining both white and vanilla worked well as the end product appears to match the bag perfectly.

The round card part is elevated on 3D Foam Squares.

Fun project!  I was pleased — hope the bride was, too!

Prima Audrey Flowers on wire stems – GORGEOUS!

I ADORE this new flower collection in by Prima.  The flowers are on wire stems.  You can twirl or twine the stems, use them to group the flowers into a bouquet as I did on my tag above, or snip them off.   I really enjoy the versatility of having wire stems on my flowers.
