CAS Christmas with Anna Griffin
Creating simply for the holidays is about the best I can do, taking time constraints into consideration. And the simpler and quicker, the better. Fortunately, I also enjoy the look of classic, clean and simple. Anna Griffin has come out with 4 new Christmas collections this year and I can’t tell you how pleased I am with each and every one of them. Classic patterns are her trademark and they work up so beautifully into clean and simple designs. Add in the 3-dimensional stickers and you have a card in just a few minutes. I’ll show you 6 cards I made up last evening using the Winter Wonderland Collection, but please stick around and scroll down to see all four of the new collections.
I used the Winter Wonderland Collection for all cards today.
I used 3D stickers from the same collection as the focal point for each card.
The colors in this collection are silver and gold. I refer to this as my silver trio and I used a pure white card base.
The thin little accent strip is cut from Silver Silk cardstock.
I added Red Rhinestones as accents, and that was it – done in short order!
This is my gold trio, made from the same collection.
On these I used a vanilla cardstock base and Silver Rhinestones.
Some of the prints in these Anna Griffin pads are larger scaled, such as this one. I really enjoy the larger scaled prints! But when working with them on a card (these are all 4.25 x 5.5″), depending on the particular print, you may need to make sure you center the pattern on the card front, otherwise it just won’t look right. This particular pattern design is a good example of that!
I would also like to point out that the paper in these Anna Griffin pads is quite a bit heavier than paper in most 6×6 pads. I like that! It’s heavy enough to be the card base. Here’s an idea: Cut your sheet in 1/2 so you have two pieces – 3 x 6. Fold those in 1/2, so you have an instant little 3×3 note or tag out of a gorgeous print!
Winter Wonderland — this is the pad I used today.
Each paper collection has 2 different sticker packs to coordinate. One sticker pack has sentiments and the other sticker pack has art.
Each collection has different sentiments and art stickers, but similar enough so that one could use these same layouts/ideas for any of the collections.
