More Gingerbread Kids – by Barb Schram
Barb’s been playing with her craft foam gingerbread men (available here) and has a few more to show us today. If you will recall, she showed us a sweet gingerbread boy a week or so ago and today she has a little girlfriend for him (sooo cute), plus a fun gift tag gingerbread man and even a lace up version that would be so fun for children to do. Oh, when I was little I used to love to do those lace up card projects — remember those? Barb is using the Kaisercraft pad, Gingerbread, to dress her little people up. It’s such a great pad for these projects! Let’s meet these fun little gingerbread people:
This is our new little gingerbread girl in her cute dress and apron — sweet, or what???
Her apron was created with a punch out from the pad and some 1/4″ lace trim.

And you likely have met our little gingerbread boy before, but I had to show him here with his new girlfriend!
Aren’t they the sweetest pair. They’d be darling decorations for the home, too!
And this little gingerbread man takes on a totally different look as Barb created him to be a gift tag.
The poinsettia was created with a Spellbinders die, the tag is a punchout from the Gingerbread paper pad, and a silk bow forms the leafy formation behind the poinsettia.
And this is the lace up gingerbread girl that I think children would just love to do!
Additionally, the ribbon is run through holes and attached so the child can learn to tie bows as well. Barb is so very CLEVER!
Barb just wrapped tape around the end of the paper cord to make it more needle-like for easy lacing.

Adhesive: Scor Tape (works well on the foam)
