This afternoon we will be attending a birthday party for a gentleman from our church who is turning 90 years old.  I, of course, didn’t want to go with my usual ribbon, bows and flowers, so I opted for a clean and simple, yet refined look that I thought perhaps a gentleman of this age might appreciate. In my opinion every card just NEEDS that tiny bit of glitz whether it’s going to a man or woman, and this was achieved on today’s card by embossing both the image and sentiment, using metallic cardstock (minimally) and embossing  my brads to match.  I was pleased — take a look:

The subtle sheen from the embossing and paper shows up so much better in real life.  Sorry I couldn’t capture it in the photo.

I used a stamp by IndigoBlu — have you checked them out?  I love them!  They are a bit larger than many, so please be sure to read the stamp measurements before purchasing.  I always enjoy a larger stamp, so they work well for me.  My card today is 6.5 x 4.75″ made to fit perfectly into an A6 Clear Box.  They make a great gift presentation.
