Pretty Things – by Heidi Blankenship
Oh my goodness! I don’t even know where to begin with the commentary on this card. It is filled to overflowing with pretty things and is an absolute delight for the eyes. Heidi used a wonderful double sided paper for this project, Pretty Things by My Mind’s Eye, and rolled it back to reveal not only both sides of the sheet but also the sheet underneath. How fun! Then add in some hand made roses dipped/tipped in white embossing powder, cheesecloth dyed, glued and glittered, and we can’t forget the Venise lace, silk ribbon and pearls. Shabby and gorgeous! Take a look:

Ink: VersaMark Watermark Ink; Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint
Dies: Spellbinders Spiral Blossom One, Bitty Blossoms, Foliage
Ribbon: May Arts 1/4″ Silk – Pink; Venise Lace – Gabriella Ivory; Cheesecloth
Embellishments: Super Fine Embossing Powder – Detail White; Tim Holtz Distress Glitter – Clear Rock Candy; Melissa Frances Pearls – White
Adhesives: Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue; 3L Tape Runner and 3D Foam Squares
Here’s a close-up view of the cheesecloth that has been dyed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink, glued and glittered. So very petty!
If you scroll back up and look at the original photo, I really love how the cheesecloth works so well as a filler. It pulls all the elements together so beautifully.
