Good Sunday morning! I have a rather clean and simple project this morning — a masculine sympathy card I made. Unfortunately, I needed one for a funeral we attended yesterday. This one is super quick and easy, using an embossing folder that I “stretched out” to fit the space I needed it to fill (explained below). I thought it was the perfect embossed design for a masculine sympathy card. A simple sentiment from a BRAND NEW JustRite clear set (November Release) and a classic satin bow finish it off with just that bit of elegance I do like for sympathy cards. Take a look:

Stamp: Caring Thoughts Sentiments by JustRite – BRAND NEW – November Release – IN STOCK!

Paper: SU Very Vanilla;

Core’dinations Core Essentials 6×6 – Neutral (the brown)

Core’dinations ColorCore Signature Graphic 45 12×12 – Lights (the teal)

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black

Dies: Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles LG (the sentiment)

Ribbon: May Arts 1″ Double Faced Satin – Brown

Embellishments:  Kaisercraft Pearls – Brown

Adhesives: Tape Runner, Scor Tape, 3D Foam Squares

Packaging: A6 Clear Box

This is a simple bow that does not need to be tied.

The bottom band is run to the back side of the panel and secured.

Then just make a loop (circle) with another length of ribbon, and wrap a band of ribbon around center, then adhere over original band of ribbon. Scor Tape works great for making and securing this bow.

I don’t use bows on masculine cards too often, but I think this bow is perfect on a sympathy card.

This folder is about 5.5 inches long, and my card was 6.5″ long x 4.75 wide. Made this size to perfectly fit into an A6 Clear Box for presentation.

I needed the embossed image to be a little taller than it was, so after embossing, I cut it about 1″ up from the bottom, completely across so I now had 2 pieces.

I then placed those 2 pieces on my card as I wanted, covering up that 1/2 – 3/4″ gap with the 1″ ribbon.

I got my extra length and no one would know!
