Welcome to the Seasons Giving Blog Hop!

It’s our little way of saying “Thank You” to those of you who so faithfully read our blogs and support our endeavors. We appreciate it so very much! There are 18 companies and 114 designers participating, EACH OFFERING BLOG CANDY. So grab yourself a cup of whatever you enjoy, check out all the blogs and their offerings up for grabs. Be sure to read each blog for the details on their give-away.
The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is so pleased to be a part of this year’s Seasons Giving Blog Hop. Our offering of blog candy will be shown further down and I think you’ll like it! However, I have a wedding card I made that I’d like to share with you first.
I made this card for an older couple getting married this week. Their invitation was very formal in ivory and gold, thus my color/style choices. And I like stretching paper pads as far as they can go, so I was pleased to find these sheets in one of my Christmas paper pads, Yuletide by Kaisercraft. PERFECT for this wedding card!
Paper: Yuletide by Kaisercraft – entire collection REDUCED!
Bazzill Mirror Cardstock – Gold
Stamps: Sentimental Damask Vintage Labels Eight – NEW!!! {{{love}}} Fabulous sentiments in this set!
Ink: VersaMark Watermark Ink embossed with Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder – Gold
Here’s a closer look at the detail. Each die used was cut a second time from the gold mirror paper. The gold die cut was then sliced in the center, allowing me to pull it out to show just a bit on the outer edges, if that makes sense.
Dies: JustRite Custom Die Vintage Labels Seven by Spellbinders (for sentiment)
JustRite Custom Die Vintage Labels Eight by Spellbinders (larger music panel and the gold embossed stamped panel)
Ribbon: May Arts 1.25″ Silk Ribbon – Ivory
Embellishment: Kaisercraft Sparklet Rhinestone Clusters – Daffodil
Adhesives: Crafter’s Pick Ultimate Glue, Tape Runner, 3D Foam Squares
This is the inside using my favorite inside verse for a wedding card.
Stamp: 1 Corinthians by Our Daily Bread Design
Find ALL wedding themed products in stock here.

Here’s the card all boxed up, perfectly protected and ready to go in an A6 Clear Box.
The card is made 4.75 x 6.5″ to fit perfectly into the A6 Clear Box.
All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as shown.

My favorite embellishment to use in my projects is vintage jewelry. I love using teardrop pearls and pendants as dangles, vintage pins and cameos in place of flowers, and chains as borders and photo mats.
Thanks for the opportunity to win. I love your ribbons and would be thrilled to use them in my lacebooks and fabric journals.
My favorite embellishment honestly is Ribbon – with buttons a very close second!
My favorite embellishment, if I could only pick one would be flowers. They are versatile and add a bit something to most cards.

Trick question? Ribbon, of course! I can never stop at one, though. Thanks for the great prize!
GORGEOUS cold card with that big beautiful ribbon and bow! Every week my favorite embellishment changes, right now, this week, I think it is ribbon tabs. Just take a little snip or ribbon or lace, fold in half and add it to my project. You can hide the ends under layers, or give it a rustic or grunge feel and just staple it in plain sight! Happy New year!
Sharon, Happy 2015!! I just love your beautiful and stunning wedding card! The embossing is just lovely. Wow, the gold peaking through is fabulous too. I just enjoy everything you create! My favorite embellishment is ribbon because you can change the look of your project so easily with it as well as using it so many different ways; tied or flat for manly cards, or big and fluffy for a feminine touch. Wow!! Awesome giveaway!! Beautiful wedding card you made! I’m a clean & simple card maker, so I don’t often use embellishments! When I do I prefer ribbon &/or pearls or some sort of candy dot or button.
Love your wedding card, white and gold is always so elegant. It is very hard to pick a favorite embellishment, so much depends on the project… I’d say lace, since flowers can be handmade and therefore should not count completely as embellishments 🙂
WOW what stunning embossing and Thank you for a chance to win
that card is just pure elegance, it is gorgeous! my favorite embellishment is anything with sparkle, bling, shine, or glitter! Happy New year!
-Rachel

I think it would have to be sequins.

My favorite embellishment is a flower of any sort..a die cut, a button flower, a ribbon flower. Thanks for participating.
Thanks for the generous prize opportunity! I’ll admit, if I could only choose one embellie, it would be ribbon — I mail most of my cards, so I like that I can add a piece of ribbon, even without a bow or knot, and it still looks beautiful and stays flat. Happy new year!
Ribbon, of course, is my favorite embellishment, and your card is gorgeous!
Ooh….favorite?? Anything sparkly….rhinestone, glitter, and I LOVE love love ribbon….so love the variety, the texture it adds, followed by flowers!

Not sure where to leave my comment as an entry for the prizes, but I’m learning about a lot of new vendors that I did not know were out there! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
The one embellishment I find consistently going to is ribbon and now that I have the Bow It All, my bows are perfectly tied on every project. From baker’s twine to 2″ velvet, I love it all!
That is so hard to choose, but if I had to…I would say ribbons. You can manipulate the ribbons to do tons of things, backgrounds, bows, bands, etc…
What an elegant wedding card! My favorite embellishment is ribbon. It always adds a nice touch.
The ribbons are beautiful. I use a lot of twine since it provides less bulk when mailing my greeting cards. Whenever possible I use ribbons as I think they give a much more elegant look. I love the wedding card. The layering is beautiful and all of the gold embossing is amazing. So glad I found another source of ribbon.

Believe it or not, my favorite embellishment is ribbon! I’ve noticed that I haven’t been using it as much as I used to and I don’t know why because I love the texture, pattern, softness, etc. it can add to a card. My New Year’s Resolution is to use more of the goodies I already own and that includes miles of ribbon. Not that I couldn’t use more, of course! 🙂
I would have to say ribbon. Lots of different things you can do with it! Thank You for the chance to win some. Loves, Ruthie

I love embellishments – it’s probably the main reason I enjoy making cards. Adds the little extra personalization to the card. Fav: butterflies that I make from punches. I like adding clear gloss and/or folding the wings up on my butterfly embellishments. I also like adding miniature precious stone beads on a short wire (email me if you want to see a sample). I also like jute-textured self-adhesive ribbons, textured florals, copper-coloured glittery embellishments, unique bling (crystals), realistic-looking pearl cabochons, foam pieces, 2-holed buttons, twine, various organic embellishments, and felt shapes.
That is a stunning wedding card – simply elegant. The prize package you’re offering is so generous! Thank you Sharon!
Eek! My favorite embellishment?! Probably rhinestones since they’re self-stick. Your ribbon is super yummy! Thanks so much for the chance to win!

Such a lovely, classy card! I would say that my fave embellishment is….oh it’s so hard to pick just one…..bling. But ribbon is a close second! 😀 Thanks for the chance to win.
I use enamel dots and sequins quite a bit – but I always love to add a ribbon or bit of twine!! Awesome giveaway!!
That’s a silly question, of course it’s ribbon and you have the best. To me a card is not quite finish till you put a least a speck of ribbon on it to tie it all up.
Sorry for the second post, but I forgot to answer your question. I love my silk ribbon that I’ve purchased from Stamp Simply Ribbon, but (as we’ve discussed before) I am very bad about sharing it on my cards…I don’t want to part with it!!! Isn’t that the most awful thing you’ve ever heard of???! Otherwise, I think enamel dots or rhinestones would be my second favorite.
Ribbon is probably the one I couldn’t live without, simply because it adds extra dimension but still mails easily. I’d also have a difficult time giving up rhinestones though. I love the elegance of the wedding card you designed. The musical background is beautiful. Happy crafting in 2015!
If I had to pick one right now . . . die cuts! Recently they have really made my cards pop! This card is beautiful and the idea of splitting the same die cut to expand it just a little is simply genius!
What a gorgeous card!!!
My favorite embellishment IS Ribbon!
I’m not just saying it because ribbon is your business, either.
I am a bit of a ribbon hoard–I mean collector 😀
If forced to pick just one (oh the horror of it!) it would have to be rhinestones–the shinier the better!
Thank you for your generosity! Happy New Year!

I’d have to say my favorite embellishment is a tie between bling/glittery related things and ribbon!
What a stunning card, wow!! SO elegant and striking. I seem to use a stencil on every layout nowadays… with modelling paste – does that count as an embellishment??
And I must say: Wow, that prize looks amazing, fingers crossed and thank you! Have a great 2015!

Wow! Your card is amazing! That ribbon bow is to die for…so scrumptious! If I could only pick one embellishment…it would have to be ribbon! Thanks for the awesome giveaway! Oh if I could only be the lucky winner! 🙂 Happy 2015!!

Carla from Utah
First of all I adore the gold Wedding card. Thanks for telling us how you got the gold paper to peek around the edges. I have tried cutting 1/4 inch away from the edges for that effect but made a huge lopsided mess. The go-to embellishments that attract me first is pearls, then lace, then flowers. I love your site and how all your products are displayed; you do a beautiful job of organizing all the products!
if I can only have one, die-cuts it is! 😉 (luv that card and luv how you “shifted” the gold die-cut underneath to show a little of the gold)
Gorgeous wedding card! Love the music, all the embossing, and that beautiful ribbon. I don’t embellish a lot, but a little ribbon or twine is always a great finishing touch when a card needs a little *something*.
It’s gotta be Ribbon…can add so much to both simple and ornate designs. I lOVE that you have so much to offer…
Just a beautiful card. My favorite embellishment? Hard question, when in doubt, add bling or a bow.

Happy New Year, Sharon! One embellishment? Yikes… I’m going to go with twine, although buttons are a CLOSE second! That wedding card is GORGEOUS!
Sharon, I love your designs. Everything from your Shabby Chic to your Clean & Simple is just beautiful. I do try to imitate your designs, but I have a hard time building the embellishments in a way they don’t look “piled” on. Thank you so much for the inspiration. By the way, I am the original ribbon junkie! I have ribbons I purchased years ago that I won’t use, they are too pretty to cut!! Thank you for the opportunity to add to my stash.
Favorite embellishment, probably lace, then gems. 🙂 Oh all of that pink ribbon looks so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

My favorite is ribbon but lately I haven’t used it too much as I have been working on my son’s album. Enamel dots are my second current favorite but buttons are my stand by
Ribbon! Very few cards leave without a ribbon of some type on them. I guess I am somewhat of a “collector” when it comes to ribbon.
