Sunday School Valentine Craft Project – by Sharon Johnson

Published by at 8 15 pm under Gift Item,Scripture,Valentines

Just a quick post this evening to show you the craft project I did with my Sunday School class last Sunday. When it comes to crafts, they always ask to make gifts for their Moms.  What sweet kids! This time they also requested hearts and glitter — of course!  We don’t have a lot of time so the projects always have to be rather quick.  I do a lot of the prep at home and then they put them all together.  This time I found these cute Valentine magnet note pads for the frig at Wal-Mart for less than $1 each. Perfect! Here’s the finished project:

The Scripture which starts on the heart and ends on the banner was printed on the computer.  I cut the top out with a heart die and I just cut the fish tails on the banner by hand.  They are both elevated with 3D foam squares.

We started by wrapping the belly band around and taping it on the back. Just  a 1.5″ strip of red cardstock.

Then we layered a doily heart, designer paper heart and finally the glitter heart.  I applied a permanent adhesive sheet to my cardstock before cutting with the heart die.  Then the kids could just peel off the sticky, sprinkle the glitter on the sticky and we didn’t have to deal with glue. Quick and easy.

I used:

Purchased magnet notepad

Pink and red scraps of designer paper and cardstock

Heart Shaped Doilies

Spellbinders Classic Heart Die

Red Glitter

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Permanent Adhesive Sheet (for glitter), Tape Runner and 3D Foam Squares

All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.
