Valentine Week Fancy Tag – by Darsie Bruno
Darsie’s Valentine tag today is over the top! She used crepe paper to create her luscious roses, layered atop an assortment of leaves and vines. A lacy red heart peeks out from behind, and Darsie added in a generous supply of pearls and some die cut glitter tape, all on the beautiful tag she made. You’ll just have to take a look – OH MY!!!
Layers and layers or lusciousness here!
Please note those flowers are made from the same Melissa Frances Crepe Paper that Deb used yesterday for the ruffle on her Vintage Valentine. That fabulous texture sure adds a lot to a project!
You can find Darsie’s post on her blog here.
Darsie used:
Stamps: Spring Wishes Vintage Labels 8 & 9 by JustRite
Paper: Be Mine by Pebbles
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fired Brick
Dies: Spellbinder Spiral Blossom One (the large rose)
Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms (the smaller roses and larger leaves)
Spellbinders Foliage Flourish (larger light green flourish with vines)
Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sprigs (smaller dark green foliage)
Spellbinders 5×7 Heirloom Legacy (the ornate topper on the tag)
Spellbinders Lace Hearts (red lacy heart)
Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One (glitter tape applied to paper, then cut with this die)
Spellbinders Die D-Lites Gilded Gate Two (wrought iron type border along left edge)
Spellbinders A Gilded Life Petite Pennants (sentiment tag)
Ribbon: May Arts 1/4″ Silk Ribbon – Rose
May Arts Multi-sized Beaded String – White
(The graphic from May Arts is poor for these beads. These are the beads seen throughout Darsie’s floral cluster. Multi-sized pearl type beads on a fishing line type string — delicate in appearance, but sturdy and so pretty!)
Embellishments: Kaisercraft Pearls – White
American Crafts Glitter Tape – Peony
Adhesives: Liquid Glue; Scor Tape
Spring Wishes Vintage Labels 8 & 9 small clear stamp set by JustRite
This set is filled with sentiments for Valentine’s Day, Easter and Mother’s Day, but it also includes generic sentiments for year round use, too!

This crepe paper is not like those inexpensive rolls you can buy in the stores. It is much thicker and has a bit of a stretch to it, making it super easy to work with.
It was used today to make Darsie’s roses and yesterday to make Deb’s ruffle.

Really beautiful….every element of her tag is stunning.
Really Gorgeous…..
WOW! I LOVE how the three dimensional flower looks with the flowers on the paper. I am certain I have mentioned a few hundred times how much I LOVE pink. Whomever receives this card is certainly blessed. TFS.
Oh, I am so sorry…my post was supposed to be for today’s post.
Darcie’s card is wonderful, the dies are perfectly matched, all of those scallops are awesome.
I also LOVE the flowers and the colors. TFS.
