Welcome! This is a little peek into the next 12 days here on our blog. We begin our annual event, The 12 Days of Christmas. Each day you’ll be treated to a Christmas project using some fun new items for the season. Most of our projects will focus on clean and simple, quick and easy, because isn’t that what we all want for the holidays. We are offering Blog Candy, too, so be sure to read through to the end.

Here’s a project I did this afternoon – super quick and easy.

I’ve been just itching to dig into our new JESUS set and this is my first try at it. I LOVE this set!

I used NEW paper from Kaisercraft – Silent Night. LOVE that, too!

I began this project with a specific mission in mind, and I held to my guns (pretty much). The mission was to make this trio of cards TOTALLY flat for mailing. NO rhinestones, bows, lumps or bumps. That’s kind of hard for me to do. Usually I just HAVE to add something, but this time I didn’t, and I do like the result. But I must confess, I did use some very THIN pop dots (linked below) on the “reason for the season” card. But they are very thin, so I gave myself that liberty.

Aren’t those papers pretty?  I am a HUGE believer in letting the pretty papers available do the brunt of the work.  Lazy stamper –YES!!!  And that’s OK. Life is busy. Cut corners where you can. For me, it’s using pretty paper.

For the Merry Christmas I cut a 5/8″ strip of paper, stamped on it, then quickly cut my tails with scissors.

All stamps are from the same set – JESUS.

We released this set with our Christmas Release. However, this is a year-round set. Several of the stamps are specific to Christmas, but most of them are usable year round. A good way to get the best bang for your buck!

I really, really LOVE this collage stamp. Again, it’s for year-round use but perfectly suitable for Christmas as well.

This is a book fold card. All cards are a standard A2, 5.5 x 4.25″.

Again, here’s the inside of this card.

It always seems to finish a card when you stamp an inside message.

Yes, Jesus IS the reason for the season!

This is the card where I cheated a bit and used the thin pop dots.

I just can’t tell you how much I enjoy this set, conveying the TRUE meaning of Christmas.

And I always like to box up my cards. Works great for protection until I use them and if you are gifting either a dimensional card or a set of flatter cards, the clear boxes make a GREAT presentation.
