Day 7 – The 12 Days of Christmas – by Sharon Johnson

Published by at 7 30 am under Uncategorized

Good Sunday morning, everyone!

(Blog Candy offered today!)

I have a very quick and easy, but I think classy, Christmas card to share today. It’s a 5.5″ square, which is a size I enjoy.  Beautiful papers and gold embossing. That is it! Take a look:

MC3 500501

This paper is from the gorgeous Christmas Wishes by Kaisercraft.

With paper this pretty, you don’t need to do much!

MC2 540x508

And here’s the card inside, just as pretty as the outside.

Both sentiments are gold embossed.

Quick and easy. This is my kind of card!

And it’s even flat for mailing.

Here’s what I used:

Stamps: Merry Christmas by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Paper: Christmas Wishes by Kaisercraft

Coredinations Heavyweight Smooth White Cardstock

Bazzill Mirror Paper – Gold

Ink:  VersaMark Ink – embossed with Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder – Gold

Dies: Spellbinders Oval Nesties

Adhesives: Scor Tape, 3D Foam Squares

This more formally scripted font offers a shining star begging to be glittered and sparkled, along with a number of large sentiments and several scripture passages.

An absolutely lovely set conveying the true meaning of Christmas!

May favorite embellishment is the candy dots of any kind. If they just shine or sparkle, I’m in love with them😍

    So elegant with this paper.

  3. Bernice P says:

Very elegant. I wish there were a pad of paper with just this one paper in it so we can make more than one card..My favorite embellishment is to emboss..

Love the card. Love the paper!!!!!

  5. Barb Bacsa says:

Glitz is my favorite thing to do to “jazz up the card”.

  6. Donna Whitten says:

Love your elegant card! It depends on the card as to what I like to do to jazz it up. Bling is always good!

Lovely card. Thank you for sharing.
Layers, to ground each element, seems to really work for me when I want to add appeal. Sometimes I use white, other times black, Kraft, or grey. For Christmas this year I’m using gold!

  8. Denise Bryant says:

Beautiful card! I love the elegant gold and white combo!
What I do to dress up a card… I think heat embossing adds that special look! Especially with metallic powders!

I love all of the Kaisercraft papers. Your simple design is very elegant. I like to add metallic cardstock behind the focal image/panel to add a very classy touch to any card.
