We’re going to a wedding this afternoon and I’m excited for that! I made a card to hold our check but when it comes to weddings, when we give a card, I do like to make it look like a gift. So I very easily decorated the clear box holding the card and was super happy with the results! Take a look:

Here’s the card. I sure had fun with this one.

I used coordinated Kaisercraft paper and a package of die cuts.

The card is 5.5″ square to perfectly fit into a 5.5 Square Clear Box.

Using a 12″ sheet of white cardstock, cut it to 12 x 5.5″.

Score at 2″ and again at 7.5″. Fold on score lines.

This leaves you with a 2″ pocket, a 4.5″ top flap and a 5.5″ square card.

I then made a panel 2.75 x 4″ that I adhered to the card front (it’s the hanging down piece) and I added all my die cut pieces to that panel (and they also extended above it).

Here’s a look at the inside, showing the pocket and the insert I created.

Our check will also go into this pocket.

The pocket is held in place with 1/2″ Scor Tape on each side.

Here’s a side view of the card and the box, fancied up with lace and silk.

The scrunched bow on the card is made from seam binding.

The lace is adhered to the Clear Box with Scor Tape.

The silk is just wrapped around and tied into a bow.

And here is the card in the box, all ready to go!

I’m super pleased with this project and it was just a pleasure to make!!!
