Distress Oxide Backgrounds with Water Stamping – by Heidi Blankenship
Heidi has a trio of gorgeous cards to share with us today. She created these amazing backgrounds with the Distress Oxide Inks and stamped over them with water. She shares the “how to” on her blog, linked below. These cards are so pretty and also flat for mailing, a total bonus! Take a look:
This is the trio Heidi made.
The color combinations are just stunning and take note of the beautifully soft and subtle florals worked into the mottled background.
A crisp sentiment in white on black and a few floating enamel dots finish these cards off perfectly.
I honestly can’t pick a favorite of the three — all the colors are so LUSH!
I can’t wait to give this technique a try myself.
These colors are so watery and pretty!
These deeper colors are so rich!
As I look at all these backgrounds there would be so many fun, quick and easy ways you could finish them off!
