Good Sunday evening! I have a trio of cards to share with you today.  We did these cards several weeks back at one of our Saturday classes and I just have never gotten them posted. This was a fun trio and a fun class. We used the Distress Oxide Inks to create the backgrounds and then we stamped with water to create the images. Yes, water! Take a look:

These focal images were created on watercolor paper to make them look like mini works of art.

I used the A2 sized Tim Holtz Distress sheets and cut them in 1/2.  That gave me the piece for the card on the far right.  The other piece of that size was again cut in 1/2, giving me the two pieces for the first two cards. So one 5.5 x 4.25″ sheet of watercolor paper gave me 3 focal images.

Three colors of the Distress Oxide Inks were blended into the watercolor cardstock using the Mini Ink Blending Tool. I used the rough side of the paper to give the feel of a little canvas.

I used Freeform Greenery by Altenew for the image.  This set was used on all 3 cards.

Merely mist the stamp using your Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and stamp.

Like magic, the water reacts with the ink and your image appears.

You’ll get a variety of image types with different types of stamps.

The focal image here was made the same as on the above card.

However, the background sheet was created using the “smooshing” technique.

After the background was smooshed and dried, I then used a solid image stamp to create the subtle florals on that sheet. Can you see them? It’s a very subtle, but very pretty, watery effect.

The last card was made exactly like the first, except that I mounted several stamps from Freeform Greenery onto a large block to create my collage of images.
