Clean and Simple Watercolor Set – by Deb Saaranen
Deb created this beautiful watercolor card set meant to encourage. She used uplifting verses from Scripture on the card fronts with minimal, yet stunning, watercolor images on the mostly white cards. These are absolutely refreshing! Take a look:
What a beautiful set of cards.
The fresh greens on the white are the perfect compliment to the crisp black sentiments.
For this card Deb painted the grasses with watered-down Distress Oxide Ink.
I love the visual here, paired with this sentiment – the butterfly is fluttering away, having given all her cares and troubles to the Lord.
There’s an equally strong visual here – the wreath encircling the sentiment, giving strength and upholding.
To create this wreath and the butterfly on the first card, Deb used the smooshing technique to apply color to her paper, then die cut the butterfly and the wreath. What a gorgeous result!
