Mother’s Day Revisited – Linda Duke Creations

Published by at 7 00 am under General Purpose Cards,Spellbinders

Good Sunday morning to all!

I’ve been thinking of Mother’s Day projects as it’s just about a month away now. As I was scanning previous projects, I found some beauties by former Design Team member Linda Duke, and they were just too good not to share again, so I decided to do just that. Here are some great projects for Mother’s Day with a very abbreviated product list beneath each. Enjoy!

Stunning poppies!

These poppies were die cut, colored with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and then covered with Glossy Accents.

Dies: Spellbinders Asters and Poppies Die D-Lites

Spellbinders Oval Regalia

Spellbinders Classic Oval Nesties – SM & LG

Ribbon: May Arts 5/8″ Crochet Lace – Ivory

This is a lovely gift presentation. Beautiful papers, die cut flowers, silk and lace – oh my!

I {{{ love }}} the knotted ribbon/lace tails.

Paper: Baby2Bride Deluxe Collector’s Edition by Graphic 45 – ON SALE!

Ribbon: May Arts 1/4″ Silk Ribbon – Ivory

May Arts 5/8″ Crochet Lace – Ivory

Embellishments: Prima Rose Mulberry Leaves – Light

Pearl Swirl Flourishes

Another vintage beauty! The beautiful embossing was done with embossing plates rather than a folder.

This bundle of crumpled up letters is just too gorgeous! Again created using embossing plates.

This card has a cleaner, fresher look. Linda created this flower using one of the dies in the Create-a-Flower Series.

What a wonderful thing to see Linda Duke back on the card scene. I have always loved her card creations and have missed her. Every one of these cards is so typical of her attention to detail. Each one gorgeous in its own right. I hope to see more of her great cards.
