Thankful – by Sheri Holt
Good Tuesday morning!
It is pushing mid-August and in our neck of the woods there is already that feel of autumn in the air. I love autumn, I love the colors of autumn and I love the overall theme of thankfulness that is associated with autumn. Sheri pulled all those elements together in the card she created for us today. She used a couple of our autumn themed stamp sets and some new autumn papers from Echo Park. I love her card! Take a look:
So pretty! I {{{ love }}} that bit of aqua type color thrown into the mix – just lovely!
The leaves (Copic colored) are from our Harvest stamp/die sets while the sentiment is from our Welcome Fall stamp set.
As I was mentioning yesterday, when we design our stamp sets we do always try to make them “mix and match” so to speak, and this card is another lovely example of how nicely they do work together.
The button/twine offers that warm and cozy fall feel – don’t you think?
I love the layers here – fishtail banners atop the hemstitch oval – and what popped into my head as I looked at Sheri’s focal point – wouldn’t that ensemble of oval/fishtail/leaves make a lovely little table decor place card for your Thanksgiving dinner. I surely think so!
I also love the kraft paper here. I use kraft way too seldom. This inspires me to pull some out and use it!!!
