Deb’s card for today got me at hello, as they say! This card portrays our peninsula so well with no words and actually so little on the card front as well. The blue watercolor wash as the base represents our blue skies and the water all around us, whereas the white embossed map and cover of sparkly glitter is a perfect representation of our beautiful winters. Take a look:

The crisp white and icy covering is so captivatingly beautiful!

Distress inks were used for the watercolor wash as well as some flicks of blue, too.

The white embossed UP is then covered in glitter for that wonderful snow/icy look.

As she so often does, Deb used watercolor paper to create this card. It offers a nice heftier weight than standard cardstock.

For the inside Deb combined the word ‘Yooper’ from our Upper Peninsula of Michigan (Yooper) stamp set with the word ‘Christmas’ from our Jesus stamp set to create this localized sentiment.

The sentiment is stamped and silver embossed on vellum.

This is one of those cards I just can’t pull my eyes away from!
