Deb is with us today, sharing a lovely card that I am calling clean and simple vintage. Clean and simple projects are typically not vintage themed projects, but I think Deb pulled both worlds together just beautifully on this card. Take a look and I think you’ll see what I mean:

What a beauty for Valentine’s day or for any day of the year!

The clean and simple aspect is that it is mostly white and is truly simple with just a single rose and a single sentiment.

The vintage aspect comes in just with its overall feel and appeal. The background that is dry brushed with Distress Ink has a vintage vibe when the white embossed rose is placed atop with the beautifully scripted sentiment.

Even though the card is simple, Deb likes to create a lot of depth and dimension using paper. The top panel is elevated on foam and the rose which is cut 5 times and glued together has beautiful depth itself.

Here’s a closer look at that beautiful rose which Deb colored with Distress Inks after embossing it in white.

It is also interesting to note that Deb is using watercolor paper for both her card and the rose. She is enjoying the heftier weight of the watercolor paper, and clearly, the results are stunning!
