An Eastern Influenced Birthday Card – by Deb Felts

Good Thursday morning! Sometimes we have to think just a wee bit out of the box. Deb needed a flat for mailing birthday card for her adult son. Typically one would not think of bright, large florals in this instance, but Deb used a paper pad with florals that DID work just beautifully! I’d like you to take a look:

Isn’t this gorgeous!

I find these floral prints to be rather regal and stately, certainly befitting either gender.

I really love the look of a bound book that Deb achieved by simply choosing, cutting and piecing together just the right prints from the paper pad, Eastern Influences by Craft Consortium.

Deb stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on a piece of cardstock in a coordinating color and it POPS just beautifully!

A single enamel dot is the only embellishment needed.

The card inside showcases another coordinating strip of paper from the same pad.

I really like the sentiment stamped in the lower corner – it offers a nice variety to the typical placement.
