Good morning! Esther’s card for today celebrates America – the land that we love! This is a very easy to create and straightforward card with all straight cuts. Everything is perfectly centered and it’s flat for mailing, too! Take a look:

Our Patriotic Series consists of 2 stamp sets and 1 die set and Esther combined them all on today’s card.

I love the traditional colors and patterns used and how the flag/US just POPS atop the white embossed background.

The paper is from the America pad by Echo Park.

Esther colored the flag/US with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

Esther has this little trick she does when cutting the flag/US. After coloring the flag she fussy cuts it with scissors rather than die cutting it, then she die cuts the US from dark paper and mounts the colored/fussy cut US on top of the die cut dark paper US. Doing it this way gives the US a dark border rather than the white border if die cut normally.

I’m showing you this die cut flag/US from a card Jill created a few weeks ago just for comparison.

This is die cut the standard way (white border), while Esther’s card above offers a dark border option.
