It’s Slimline Week at Stamp Simply – by Holly McMillen
Good Monday morning and WELCOME to Slimline Week here at Stamp Simply.
We thought it would be fun to make slimline cards this week using just the normal supplies we have on hand. In the process we all started talking and sharing old cards. It was back around 2007/2008 that a slimline rage was going through the crafting community and we were all making them like crazy. I guess what goes around, comes around! Today we’ll start off our slimline series with Holly’s fun card.
Well, isn’t this just as fresh and fruity as can be!
Holly chose to use our Fruit of the Spirit series of stamps to create this fun stack of fruity goodness.
Her card measures 3.5 x 8.5″ and will fit into a #9 or #10 envelope.
Holly’s fruit images are colored with Copics and fussy cut so she could stack them one atop the other.
I think it’s a fun twist to add the fruit name directly to the fruit itself.
The card inside features scripture from Galatians as to the Fruit of the Spirit.
“The Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”
No matter how you look at it, this is one luscious card!
The pretty papers are from Prima’s Fruit Paradise.
