Good Tuesday morning and first day of September. Where did our summer go? No season seems to pass by more quickly than summer! But with the passing of summer comes autumn in all its splendor with so much to enjoy. Esther created an autumn themed wreath for today by using die cut bundles of wheat. There’s a lot of fun stampy stuff happening on this card, so let’s take a look:

This is so rich and lovely for fall – just beautiful and so welcoming.

Esther used the curved sheaf of wheat from our Autumn Blessings set to create her wreath.

Esther explains exactly how she made that gorgeous wreath:

To create my wreath I used a stamping platform to do repeat stamping. First I stamped the wheat in antique linen distress oxide, then I dabbed the wheat heads in fossilized amber, and finally added a bit of brushed corduroy distress ink to just the tips. After die cutting, I arranged my wheat stalks in a circle, glued them together, and added a bow and tiny chocolate pearls.

What a fun wreath to make!

Esther created that lovely vintage looking background with a small collage stamp in our Fruit of the Spirit stamp set.

Here’s how Esther created that background:

The background was created by repeated stamping of a collage sentiment from Fruit of the Spirit  in versamark watermark ink, and then inking the edges in vintage photo distress oxide.

And the large sentiment is from our Farmhouse Scriptural Thoughts stamp set – just perfect paired with Esther’s wreath.

A lovely project and fun to make, too!
