Blessed Are They That Mourn – by Deb Felts

Good Thursday morning. All week we have been showcasing clean and simple sympathy cards. We turn today to that extra-special fancy card we all need (and love to make!) from time to time. Truly, Deb’s creation took my breath away. Take a look:
This fun fold that Deb uses from time to time is always a big hit in my book!
It’s such a simple concept (slit the paper and fold back) that gives you the perfect opening for a sentiment and another perfect spot for a floral accent.
Plus it allows us to show both sides of a double sided designer paper, and for us paper addicts that is total bonus!
The floral folded sheet is from Craft Consortium’s Bloom & Wild paper pad.
The marbled fuchsia sheet is from a NEW pad by Craft Consortium called Ink Drops Vivid.
There is a companion pad called Ink Drops Dusk.
The sentiment used (a favorite for sympathy cards) is from our set call Blessings/Beatitudes 1.
It’a hard to see in the photo, but Deb first stamped the sentiment in Delicata Golden Glitz and then stamped again on top with Memento Tuxedo Black. Very pretty in real life!
And Deb added her signature floral cluster in colors to perfectly complement the paper.
Her floral cluster consists of purchased flowers, die cut leaves and sprigs, seam binding and tulle.
The card inside uses another sentiment included in Blessings/Beatitudes 1.
Isn’t that paper so very lovely!!!
Both of these Ink Drop pads are flying off the shelves and it’s easy to see why!
