Sometimes you look at a card and it just floods your mind with memories or images of a time or place from the past. Such was the case with Holly’s card for today. It gave me such a warm and cozy feeling, as though I was in a beautiful room in a Victorian home adorned with lavish wall paper and wall decor. Can’t you just see it? The wallpaper and lavish border, the mirror with floral swag along one side.

The imagery here touches my soul and makes me happy!

Such a beautiful way to send Mother’s Day wishes!

The Mother’s Day sentiment is from Typewritten Year Round Greetings by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The designer paper used to create that lavish wall is from Bright Blooms by Craft Consortium.

The lace border is cut with Crochet by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

There is a strip of May Arts 1/4″ Silk in Mint above the lace border.

The butterfly was created with an older punch.

The mirror was created by cutting Bazzill Mirror Cardstock (silver) with a Spellbinders Standard Oval Die.

A variety of flowers were used on the floral swag.

The greenery is cut with Holiday Greens Mini by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

The rose was stamped onto paper from the same pad with Thinking of You Rose by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
