We are all overcome with the devastation the Ukrainian people are facing. Though it may seem to be a miniscule task to make a card to show our remembrance of and encouragement for them, it is one of the little things we CAN do, so we do just that. The main thing we can do for them at this time is to pray for their safety and for a quick resolve to the unbearable situation they are facing. There is power in prayer and we would ask that you all hold the people of the Ukraine in your prayers. God does hear our prayers.

Esther made this card for her friend who is a missionary in Romania taking in Ukrainian refugees.

Esther used sunflowers and blue on her card, which are symbols of the Ukraine.

The verse Esther chose from scripture is particularly poignant at this time.

The scripture verse is from Fear Not by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The lovely floral is from the Fall Flowers Floral Cluster by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

That lovely background is done with the NEW 3D Embossing Folder Doily by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

Esther stamped the sentiment with VersaFine black ink.

Here’s a TIP from Esther on how she created this lovely card:

To create my card I inked up the NEW Doily embossing folder from Tim Holtz with salty ocean distress ink and ran it through my machine. To make the doily part pop a bit more, I went over it with some white pigment ink. To achieve the no-line coloring effect, I stamped the sunflowers in antique linen distress ink and colored with my Arteza brush pens.
