To the Graduate – by Deb Felts
I always love a classy card for graduation. To me the celebration of such an event seems more formal and well-deserving of a card more traditional in design to commemorate such a monumental feat. Deb’s card for today surely does not disappoint! Deb used wonderful NEW paper in stock on the card front, accented with a few simple dies cuts, with a total surprise on the inside!
What a wonderful grad card! Simple to make, yet so totally full of class and pizzazz!
That gorgeous grad paper is from Graduation Paper by Reminisce.
The stamped sentiment is from Scripture for Graduation and Beyond by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
The sentiment is cut with Fishtail Sentiment Banners steel die set by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
The die cut grad cap is from Congrats Grad steel die set by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
The die cut star is from Stars Five by Spellbinders.
Here’s a closer look at all that beautiful detail.
Deb used a Kaisercraft Rhinestone in black on the top of the grad cap.
And here’s the card inside – WOW!
This inside is so beautiful it could also serve as a card front on another project
The background is subtly stenciled using the Gothic stencil by Tim Holtz.
The wood grain tabletop uses a sheet from America by Echo Park.
The diploma/scroll is again cut from Congrats Grad steel die set by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
The stamped sentiment is from Graduation Sentiments by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
And those gorgeous books are from A Man of Knowledge by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
Deb stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers, stenciling and adding distressed edges using Tea Dye Distress Ink, and accenting with Zig Wink of Stella Glitter Markers in clear and gold.
