Autumn Belly-Banded Trifold – by Deb Felts

Different folds are fun to create and to give. Personally, I always love a belly band, so this tri-fold belly-banded card by Deb hit a chord with me. It does require a 12″ sheet of cardstock for the base and is a very simple score and fold design. It offers a lot of “flaps” on which to showcase pretty designer papers or stamped images or sentiments.

This is the card fully closed and with the belly band around it.

The finished measurements are that of a standard A2 card.

The band around the middle features the Falling Leaves Border Strip by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set, cut with a die from Collector by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

Deb stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers (warm greys).

She also used Delicata Celestial Copper and Distress Black Soot inks for distressing and accents.

Deb used a combination of papers all by Craft Consortium, from left to right:

Metal Textures, Tartan Plaid and Ink Drops Monochrome

The ribbon used is May Arts 3/8″ Dotted Sheer. May Arts 1.5″ Sheer Glitter Dots would also work here.

Here’s a closer look at the coloring, distressing and spattering on the belly band image.

Deb stamped the cattails from Autumn Silhouettes by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps directly onto the designer paper.

The border strip is long enough to work either horizontally or vertically on a standard A2 card size.

The sentiments on this set are stunningly beautiful.

Autumn Silhouettes by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

These solid image stems are long, allowing for more layout options. If you want short stems, you can just stamp off the paper. And these 2 groups of stems are designed to be overlaid, one stamped on top of another.
