Next up on our calendar of patriotic events would be Flag Day on June 14 and the 4th of July soon to follow. We are sharing a number of cards today with the hope of inspiring you with some fun patriotic designs. We begin with this festive card from Karen Letchworth featuring our grand old flag and some fun prints that coordinate so well.

The flag and sentiment are from The Red, White and Blue by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The sentiment was cut using Fishtail Sentiment Banners by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The background is embossed with the Chevron embossing folder by Darice – value priced at $5.00.

The stars were cut using Old Glory by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The fun designer papers used are from Stars & Stripes Forever by Echo Park.

Karen used Baker’s Twine as a fun little accent.

More Design Team Projects

We thought it would be both fun and appropriate to re-visit some of our favorite patriotic projects from our very talented Design Team, so here we go:

This is such a fun card that I will never tire of looking at.

Esther Asbury created this card a while back when she was guesting for us before she became a regular here.

She very cleverly used our Stick Family Series to create this fun scene – GREATLY REDUCED!!!

Esther stamped each person individually onto Canson mix media paper, colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens, and fussy cut each one out. The flags were hand drawn using markers and a white gel pen – how very fun and clever is that! She then assembled them onto the doily background, popping up the boy and dog with 3D foam.

The designer paper she used is retired but here are the current patriotic pads we have in stock.

And here’s one more from Esther along those same lines.

The stars were cut using Old Glory by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The bunting type border is cut with the Crochet die by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

We love this simply made card with a clean vintage feel from Deb Saaranen.
