Score Boards, etc. – An Unplanned SALE!

It’s been busy here.  I’ve just had a new island unit built, giving me another 3 x 9 ‘ area of countertop workspace and 20 more drawers to organize my cut and wrapped ribbon.  MUCH needed on both counts.  So, of course, I am in an organizational frenzy once again.  As I’m rearranging I’ve decided that I need to put some things on sale — today I’m offering a FABULOUS SALE:

45% OFF all score-related items by Scor-Pal and Scor-It

They can all be seen here.

How many of you use a Score Board?  Well, I use a Score Board on every single card I make, I just fail to mention it in my posts.  Kind of like a paper cutter — we can’t create without a paper cutter, but who ever mentions it in their product links?  I know I don’t.  Same with a Score Board — it is as indispensable to me as a paper cutter.

A card fold created with a Score Board both functions better and looks more professional than a a fold merely done by hand.

Score boards also can be used for other fun applications — scoring grid lines, diagonals, edges, accordian cards, making boxes (a FAV of mine), etc.  Personally, I love to combine straight scored lines with dry embossed images.  I used to do that a ton, but haven’t for ages (and now I’m itching to again!).  Here’s a picture of a set of cards I did using that application almost 5 years ago when I was an SU demo, so these are all SU product:

Again the above was made with all older SU product about 5 years ago, but I just wanted to show you what I meant.  I realize there are a lot of newbies out there who may not have known what I meant, so as they say, a picture is worth 1,000 words — LOL!!!

The newer Spellbinders Embossing Folders that I have in stock would work perfectly to create a project as shown above, combined with a Score Board.  The Spellbinders Embossing Folders are all double — meaning you get TWO designs in ONE folder!  Genius!

Boxes are another favorite of mine and they are so easy to create using a Score Board.

Here’s a little Christmas gift box – you can refer to this post for instructions.

And once I’m digging in my archives I’ll show you a few more projects accomplished with a Score Board.

This is a recipe box I made years ago with SU product again – you can find instructions on this post.

This journal was made from scratch using a Score Board.  Actually, I do have those beautiful K & Co frames in the store and they are on sale, too!  The photo in the store really does not do them justice — my apologies.  They are truly gorgeous frames!

And here’s a quick little accordian card again with older SU product made with a Score Board.

Just hoping to try to inspire you to get creative with your Score Board — and if you don’t have one, NOW is the perfect time to pick one up at GREAT savings.

All Score Boards and related items can be seen here in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

I was wondering what the actual dimensions are of the envelope created by the A-2 Envelope-It Template? Some of my cards with embellishments need a little more room in the envelope. it would be great if you added that to the product description. Thanks!

    • Hi Lynne: Thanks for your comment. The product description does give dimensions. It creates an envelope to fit a standard card that is 4.25 x 5.5″. It is a flat envelope, just as a purchased envelope in that size would be, thus there is not a lot of room for bulk. It is perhaps 1/16 – 1/8″ larger than the card, just as a purchased envelope in that size would be. For cards with bulk I use the Clear Boxes that are 5/8″ thick. Hope that helps! Sharon
