Kaisercraft’s Lullaby Shabby Baby Boy

Published by

Today I made a baby boy card for The Shabby Tea Room Challenge using some totally lush baby paper.  Take a look:

This card is a standard A2 size, 5.5 x 4.25″.  This is yet another no stamp creation — quick, easy and FUN to do!

I adore the sheets in this pad — Lullaby Collection by Kaisercraft.  It is filled with blues and pinks with some more grown-up, non-traditional baby prints.  This sheet with a Damask pattern is flocked.  As with all of the Kaisercraft small pads, there are punch outs in the back, but I cut out today’s focal image from a sheet filled with similar images — one sheet in blue and one in pink.  Kaisercraft Rhinestones in Ice Blue were added to the focal image corners for a bit of glitz

Ribbons used are all included in the Stamp Simply Ribbon Sampler – The Blues of Summer.  They are also available individually as well.   I used 1.5″ Satin Pleats in White, 3/8″ Grosgrain Stripes in Light Blue/White, and 1″ Stitched Satin in Light Blue.  Scor-tape was used to adhere the ribbon.  The Bow Easy was used to make the bow.

Here’s a look at The Blues of Summer Stamp  Simply Ribbon Sampler.

As this card has a fair amount of dimension, I will store it and present/mail it in an A2 Clear Box.

All items used on today’s project are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks for checking in today — MUCH appreciated!!!  We had a busy weekend with warmer temps (at last!) and some rainfall as well.  I purchased a good portion of my summer plants for the porch and my few small beds — so now I have to watch the weather each night to check for frost warnings!!!  Oh, let’s hope it doesn’t freeze yet, but it likely will!!!

Have a good week everyone!  See you real soon!!!

Bridal & Baby Shower Cards – by Sharon Johnson

Published by

In the last week I’ve attended both a bridal shower and a baby shower. It was a very busy week in general, so my cards had to be quick and easy, and that they were. Let’s take a look at the little bridal shower card first.

Shower1 500x470

It doesn’t get much easier than this.

The card is a 4×4″ square and the patterned paper is actually wrapping paper.

My gift was in a large box, wrapped in this paper, so I grabbed a piece for the card – works for me!

The wrapping paper is matted with Luxury Pearlescent Metallic 105# Cardstock – Silver

Shower2 500x412

Sentiment on front: Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Sentiment on inside: Scripture for Graduation & Beyond by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Heart Die: Farmhouse Pierced Nested Hearts Dies by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Baby1 540x469

And here’s the card for the baby shower – it’s a gift card holder.

Super simple, using the Lullaby paper collection from Kaisercraft and several of the cut outs and punch outs contained in the pad.

Baby2 540x453

Here’s the inside with the gift card inserted into the pocket.

Paper: Lullaby by Kaisercraft

Inside Sentiment: Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Farmhouse Sentiment Trio 869x500

These are the 3 sentiment sets in our Farmhouse Signage Series. They are:

Farmhouse Simple SentimentsFarmhouse Scriptural Thoughts, Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes (used today on both cards)

They can be purchased separately or as a group (with extra savings!).

SS-028 Scripture for Graduation & Beyond 316x540

This set was used on the inside of the bridal shower card – it’s a super versatile set!

SS-DIE013 Nested Pierced Hearts DIE WEB_preview 291x500

This is the Farmhouse Pierced Nested Hearts die set used on the bridal shower card.

I love the delicate pierced edging detail and the somewhat plump shape of these hearts.

Baby Lullaby – by Sharon Johnson

Published by

Every good and perfect gift is from above.

James 1:17

It’s been a long time since I’ve made a baby card. They are some of my favorites and this one came together quickly with cut strips that were in my Lullaby paper pad by Kaisercraft, leftover from a previous project. Take a look:

BabyFront 500x578

Clearly, this is for a boy, but this Kaisercraft pad has an equal amount of pink sheets for girls, too.

There are lovely flocked sheets in this collection that are just to die for (so to speak!)

This card was made a bit larger at about 4.5 x 6.25″ to fit an envelope I had on hand.

BabyFlat 500x537

The “It’s a Boy” was cut from one of the sheets.

But as with all Kaisercraft pads, there are 4 sheets of punchouts in the back of the pad as well.

That stitched satin ribbon is my favorite baby ribbon – it is so reminiscent of a blanket binding.

BabyIn 500x574

Here’s the inside.

The scallop border is one of the punchouts contained at the back of the paper pad.

I love this Scripture for baby cards – I think it is always just perfect!

(It is one of many versatile sentiments in our Farmhouse Series of stamps/dies).

Here’s my supply list:

Stamps: Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps (card inside)

Stamped using the Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform (perfect placement & impressions every time!)

Paper: Lullaby by Kaisercraft

Die: Spellbinders Lacey Squares (discontinued, no longer available)

Ribbon: May Arts 1″ Stitched Satin – Blue

May Arts 5/8″ Crochet Lace – White

Adhesives: Scor Tape, EZ Runner, 3D Foam Squares

Farmhouse Sentiment Trio 869x500

These are the 3 sentiment sets in our NEW Farmhouse Signage Series. They are:

Farmhouse Simple SentimentsFarmhouse Scriptural Thoughts, Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes (used today)

They can be purchased separately or as a group (with extra savings!).

Lullaby PP841

Lullaby by Kaisercraft

This graphic does NOT do this gorgeous paper justice.

Look back up at my card to get a good feel of what this paper is truly like!

A Fun Baby Card – by Sharon Johnson

Published by

I had fun with this card, in many respects. I used it as a Make-N-Take project yesterday and the ladies all liked it.  We varied it up. Some ladies made their cards all pink, others all blue, and some went with both colors as I did on today’s sample.  They were ALL gorgeous.  The ones done up in all pink or all blue were very soft and lovely! WISH I had taken a photo. But you can take a look at mine:

ClassCard 2 480556

It’s a bit larger at 6.5 x 4.75″ – my favorite size. Fits perfectly into an A6 Clear Box.

The focal image “Baby” was cut from the pad itself. LOTS of cutouts in this pad for both boy, girl and baby generically.

I do want to point out that this paper collection has been retired by Kaisercraft, sadly. It has been my FAVORITE baby paper pad of all time.  I do have some in stock, but once they are sold out, this collection is then gone for good.

Here’s what I used:

Paper: Lullaby by Kaisercraft

Colored Cardstock – Pink and Blue; White Cardstock

Die: Spellbinders Lacey Squares

Ribbon: May Arts 1″ Stitched Satin – Blue

7/8″ Cluny Lace – Antique White

Embellishments: Kaisercraft Rhinestones – Pink, Ice Blue

Adhesives: Scor Tape, Liquid Glue, 3D Foam Squares

Welcome Baby – by Sheri Holt

Published by

So sorry I’m a bit late this morning. Things don’t always go as planned, and I’m sure everyone can relate to that!  But I think the wait will be worth it.  Today Sheri has a beautiful Welcome Baby card to share. It is all pink and girly, with the unexpected thrown in — feathers! Yes, Sheri added die cut feathers to her baby card and I’m just tickled pink with how well they work on this project — AMAZING! The paper pad she used is my personal all time favorite baby themed pad.  It is by Kaisercraft and filled with beautiful sheets in pink, blue and white.  It’s a very upscale baby pad!  Take a look:

Isn’t it wonderful!  And the feathers are an absolute unexpected touch, but SO perfect.

You can find Sheri’s post on her blog here.

Sheri used:

Stamps:  Bundle of Joy Vintage Labels Five by JustRite

Paper: Lullaby by Kaisercraft

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Angel Pink

Dies: Spellbinders Feathers, Majestic Squares

Ribbon: May Arts 1″ Stitched Satin – Pink; Venise Lace – Valentina White

Adhesives; Tape Runner, 3D Foam Squares

Lullaby by Kaisercraft

This graphic does not adequately show off this paper.  The pad is filled with many flocked sheets in damask prints, many sheets with shiny foil, many punch outs in the back of the pad (Sheri used 2 today) and many, many little sentiments for both boy and girl that can be cut out.  If you click the link just under the pad, it takes you to the listing in the store where many more cards are shown, giving you a better visual of more sheets in this pad.

These are the two baby sets from JustRite, both large clear stamp sets.

On the left is Bundle of Joy, the set Sheri used today.

On the right is Special Delivery.

These sets work well together or separately.  Between the two of them you will have sentiments and images for just about any baby event imaginable, even adoption sentiments, which are a bit harder to find. Click into the store links to see them more clearly.

They are available separately or as a Bundled Special for even more saving.

Find other baby themed items here.

Feathers die set by Spellbinders

There are several other feather sets, too – find them here.

Majestic Squares die set by Spellbinders

Sheri used this today for her cutout framing.

May Arts 1″ Stitched Satin

This ribbon in the pastel colors is the PERFECT baby ribbon and the pink and blue are perfect compliments to the Lullaby pad.

Venise Lace

Available in 9 options, white or ivory, several widths, by the yard or in a lovely Sampler Pack.

Items are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

Baby Boy Blue – by Angela Barkhouse

Published by

Today Angela shares a darling card for a new baby boy and it’s a quick and easy no stamp creation, using images included in the paper pad.  The “Welcome Baby” image was cut from a sheet in the pad and the hanging tag was a die cut punch out from the back of the pad.  There are tons of darling cutouts in this pad for both baby boys and baby girls.  That’s one thing I absolutely love about all the Kaisercraft pads.  If you’re in a rush, and who isn’t at some time or another, you can pretty much put a card together in sort order using just the papers and images included in the pad.  And that IS a good thing!!!  Take a look at Angela’s sweet baby boy card:

Isn’t it just perfect!  And so easy to do — love that!

CAS Baby Cards – Boy and Girl

Published by

I attended a baby shower yesterday afternoon for Deb Saaranen’s first grandchild.  It was a beautiful shower with a radiant mother-to-be,  lots of ladies and lovely baby gifts — fun afternoon!  And all the good food was the icing on the cake!

It’s been super busy around here, so I made a very quick and easy card for the new baby boy soon to be born!  Isn’t it amazing how everyone knows what they are having these days — LOL!  Sure makes it nice for gift purchasing.

And once I made a boy card that was so quick and easy, I figured I’d make a girl card, too — just to add to my stash!

I used my ALL-TIME FAVORITE baby pad for these cards. I will NEVER tire of this collection!

Paper:  Lullaby by Kaisercraft

The focal images for both cards were cut from sheets within the pad.

Spellbinders Dies:  Square Nesties

And the ribbon I used is what I consider a PERFECT baby ribbon — love it on baby cards!

Ribbon:  May Arts 1″ Stitched Satin – Pink and Blue were used today

The bows were made using the Original Bow Easy.

And here’s the girl version — fun to make!

Both cards are 5.5″ square and were inserted into 5.5″ Square Clear Boxes both for protection and presentation!

As I always say, people LOVE getting a card in a clear box — such a simple thing to do and they are always so impressed!

You can find more baby items in our Baby Category here.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

And that does it for today!  Thanks for stopping in.

The DT has been very busy — scroll down to check out their projects!

Kaisercraft Bundle of Joy – by Deb Saaranen

Published by

Will that Bundle of Joy be a baby boy or a baby girl?  THAT is the question Deb is wondering as she awaits her first grandchild!  But she has her bases covered today as she made both a boy and a girl card for her much-awaited grandchild.

This, obviously, is the boy card — SWEET or what?

And super easy to create — what could be better!

You can see the full post on Deb’s blog here.

Deb used:

Paper:  Kaisercraft Bundle of Joy (BOY 12 x 12 used, also available in 6×6)

Focal Image & Banner: Kaisercraft Collectable Die Cuts – Bundle of Joy BOY

Stamps:  All Boy – a NEW clear stamp set by JustRite

Ink:  VersaFine Onyx Black

Miscellaneous:  3D Foam Squares

And here’s the baby girl version:

Each card just gets sweeter!!!

Deb used:

Paper:  Kaisercraft Bundle of Joy (GIRL 12 x 12 used, also available in 6×6)

Focal Image: Kaisercraft Collectable Die Cuts – Bundle of Joy GIRL

Ribbon:  May Arts 1.25″ Silk Ribbon – Pink; Bow made on the Original Bow Easy

Miscellaneous:  Various buttons, 3D Foam Squares

All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

____________________

Here’s a visual of what Deb used:

Bundle of Joy 12 x 12 – Each pad is gender specific.  There is a BOY pad and a GIRL pad.

I realize monitors all show colors differently.  Please be advised that the BOY colors in this collection are NOT the typical baby boy blue.  It’s more of a greyed out seafoamy green/blue.  Very pretty, just NOT standard baby blue.  Just letting you know so you don’t think all the standard baby boy blue ribbons will match, as they won’t.

The “blue” color ribbon that matches this boy collection best is the Seam Binding in Soft Seafoam.  The Smoke Grey also matches well.  They are both shown below.

The 12 x 12 packages each also include a full sheet of stickers.

Bundle of Joy 6×6 and Bundle of Joy Seam Binding Sampler

The 6×6 pad in this collection contains themes for both BOY and GIRL, unlike the 12 x 12.  Being a typical Kaisercraft pad, it also contains 4 sheets of die cut punchouts in the back of the pad, along with many flocked and spot varnished sheets.  I LOVE the specialty papers in all the Kaisercraft pads!

You can find all Seam Binding here.

Bundle of Joy Die Cut Collectabiles.  There is a BOY package and a GIRL package.

Deb used these today  — great for quick creations!

These are the Kaisercraft stamp sets that are a part of the Bundle of Joy Collection — though Deb did not use either of these today.

Bundle of Joy and New Arrival

All Boy – a brand NEW clear stamp set by JustRite.  This is the set Deb used today.

Can you find the It’s a Boy! that Deb used on her boy card today?  LOVE this set and can’t wait to play with it myself!

And if you are drawn more towards a baby pad that is the standard baby boy blue and pink, Kaisercraft also has this pad:

Lullaby 6×6 by Kaisercraft

This has been a long time favorite baby pad of mine.  LOVE the damask prints and other patterns with the beautiful flocking and metallic accents.  It has a lot of beautiful images you can cut out from the sheets and the typical 4 pages of punch outs in the back of the pad.  I have made so many cards with this pad.  I’ve tried to pull some of them up for you on this link.  A few other cards are mixed in, but just keep scrolling and you’ll see plenty of cards made with this pad.  The photo/graphic above does NOT do this lovely pad justice.   It’s truly gorgeous!

You can find more baby items in our Baby Category.

All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

Although a variety of products can be used to make a baby themed project, we have added a category in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store that contains items specific to BABYYou can see it here and I hope you find it helpful.

I hope our creations today offer some inspiration — here’s mine:

Well, if I knew someone expecting twins, a boy and a girl, I’d be all set!  I don’t, so I’ll just keep these handy for when I do need one of them.  They were so easy and fun to do — they are “no stamp” cards, which I do enjoying doing.

The paper used on both cards is from Kaisercraft’s Lullaby — probably my all time favorite baby pad because I LOVE the prints in it — many of the sheets are distinctly adult patterns, but done up in the soft pinks and blues they are PERFECT for the type of baby cards I enjoy making.

I’ve done many baby cards over the last few months using this pad — you can see them all here.

See the gorgeous flocked damask print on this girl card?  LOVE it!  And paired with the tiny dots it is perfect for an upscale baby card.

The focal image sentiments on both cards are cut-outs contained in the Lullaby pad — so easy!

Those sentiments are layered onto panels made with Spellbinders Lacey Squares.

They are mounted with 3D Foam Squares for a bit of elevation.

The Kaisercraft Rhinestones are Light Pink and Soft Blue.

The cardstock used is SU Pink Pirouette and Bashful Blue.

I used 3 different ribbons on these cards, and all of them are included in the brand NEW Ribbon Sampler I put together.  Actually, it is the Blog Candy offered below, so you can check it out when you get down that far.

The first layer of ribbon is 1″ Double Faced Satin.  On top of that I layered 5/8″ Crochet Lace.  Then using the Bow Easy I made bows out of the same 5/8″  Crochet Lace.  And can you see the little satin band around the bow center?  To do that I used the 3/8″ Double Faced Satin and applied 1/4″ Scor Tape to just a few inches of the ribbon, then wrapped the ribbon around the bow center.  With the Score Tape on it, it just *stuck* as I wrapped.  Easy as can be and I kind of like the look, especially for these baby cards.  Then I glued the bows on using Aleene’s glues from superstores.  Just be sure to hold and press until the glue starts to take for a nice, tight hold.

And that about does it for these cards.  OH, they are standard 5.5″ x 4.25″.  If I wanted to squish my lace bows down, they’d go into standard paper envelopes, but I’ll put them into my A2 Clear Boxes.  I’m just addicted to those boxes.  It is SO nice to store your cards in them.  They are SO totally protected and they make such a nice presentation when giving the card.

All items used on these cards are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.
