This card is a simple make when using the gorgeous papers from Ink Drops Ocean as a beautiful watery backdrop. A quick and easy card filled with texture and interest.

It is total bonus when a card is this quick and easy to make, yet is filled with so much texture, interest and eye appeal.

The lighthouse and verse are from He is the Light by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The verse was cut with Fishtail Sentiment Banners by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

That gorgeous paper is from Ink Drop Ocean by Craft Consortium.

The netting that adds so much texture is Dritz Cheesecloth.

Julie stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink (clear embossed) and added Kaisercraft Rhinestones in Ice Blue.

Good Friday morning! Another week almost done. The way time flies just amazes me. Deb has another gorgeous card to share and this one is for Father’s Day. She appropriately used one of our local lighthouses for her Dad and created a beautiful watercolor sunset background. Simple oval framing in black highlights the lighthouse and sky just beautifully.

This card is a tad shorter than a standard A2 measuring at 4.25″ x 5″.

The lighthouse is from He is the Light by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The focal image is framed using Spellbinders Standard Ovals.

The sentiment is from All Occasion Sentiments SET 2 by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The sentiment was cut with Fishtail Sentiment Banners by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The blue designer paper is from the NEW Over the Rainbow by Craft Consortium – a lovely pad!

Deb used watercolor cardstock, watercolors, VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink for the sentiment, Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Copic markers on the image.

To say that Deb pays attention to every single tiny detail would be an understatement – LOL. I’ve never known a designer to put so much thought and planning into each card she makes, as evidenced by her offering today. This post is photo heavy but I just want to make sure you see all those beautiful details which include a 3-dimensional cap for the fisherman.

OK, back to our project for today – super inspiring. Any fisherman or water enthusiast would LOVE this card!

Looking at all the photos one would never guess, but this card uses minimal supplies!

The stamp sets used throughout are from our Lighthouse Series by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

And the paper pad used throughout is Catch of the Day by Graphic 45 – get it now at 35% off before it is sold out.

These stamps and papers used together are truly a match made in heaven!

I think the first thing to catch your eye on this card is the 3-D baseball cap.

Deb made her hat using this Origami Hat Tutorial she found on YouTube, altering the measurements to make it a bit smaller.

(Watch it – I was truly amazed at how easy it is!!!)

Sometimes it is fun to stretch our limits and do something a bit different!

Deb used Spellbinders Standard Circle dies to create reinforcements for inside the hat.

Here’s a look at the hat from another angle.

Those papers turn a baseball cap into a fisherman’s hat instantly!

The stamped pilings on the watery paper are absolutely perfect!

Love the rough splashing water Deb added.

The wheel or helm is another element stamped on this attractively blocked layout.

All the images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers.

And here is another block, this one with a verse from scripture, so appropriate for this card.

And I LOVE Deb’s fish hook and line that runs up the card.

She created the fish hook from silver jewelry wire.

The fishing line is a tea bag string – super clever!

The scripture verse was stamped in red ink.

As always, Deb finished the card inside so beautifully to coordinate with the card front.

Today we are sharing a card from Holly using a wonderful verse from scripture and an appropriate bird and branches image to go along with the verse. Holly called this a card for the gents, but truly, I think this card works for either gender. I love the rustic color theme and scheme. And I can think of so many reasons or needs for which this card would work just perfectly.

Just lovely with a great rustic appeal.

Good Monday morning! This week we are focusing on masculine themed cards. Father’s Day is on June 18 this year so we still have time to get prepped for those projects. I think you’ll enjoy the variety of masculine themed cards we will be sharing all week long, starting with this vintage beauty from Karen.

Super appealing done up in a classic vintage style for Dad.

This card used just one stamp/die set for the sentiment, the books and the keys.

That set is A Man of Knowledge by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The sentiment was cut with Fishtail Sentiment Banners by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

Karen used VersaFine Onyx Black ink to stamp.

The woodgrain paper is all from Wood Textures by Craft Consortium.

Burlap String makes for a fun accent tying the keys together.

Note that even the books were stamped onto the woodgrain paper and then die cut, as well as the keys.

It also thrilled me to see that Karen took the Proverbs 1:7 from one of the sentiments in the stamp set and stamped it as a title on one of the books.

Karen used a black corrugated paper and cut a lattice type design from one corner.

Good Sunday morning! I hope you can enjoy a nice hot cup of whatever it is you like – and for me that would be hot, black coffee. Judy brings in the wonderful colors and flavor of springtime with the gorgeous die cut florals and brightly colored cups to match. She had a lot of fun getting truly inky on this one and the result is just fabulous!

YES to those luscious colors!!!

This card is a bit larger than a standard A2 being 4.75″ x 6″.

Starting with the background, Judy used the Tiles stencil by Tim Holtz.

The cups are die cut using our Coffee or Tea? die set by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The florals are die cut using Wildflower Stems #1 by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

The smaller sprigs behind the cups are cut using Floral Cluster & Sprigs by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The sentiment is from Have a Cup on Us by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The sentiment is stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.

Distress Oxide inks were used in Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron for the florals and cups.

Judy accented with small Kaisercraft Rhinestones and used a thin metallic string as a lovely accent.

Deb has a lovely card today for Mother’s Day. No flower seems to say “I love you” like a single stemmed rose. Deb made the rose the focal point of her card today with a luscious added seam binding bow. The red rose pops so beautifully atop an embossed background with the simple Mother’s Day greeting added.
