Christmas Gift Bag

Published by at 6 00 am under Boxes, Bags, Containers

This is a Christmas Gift Bag I made that I thought would work pretty well for a man, using my favorite deer from Flourished Christmas by Flourishes. This set should be released today (10/03). Also to be released soon is a set called Rejoice, and the tiny To: and From: on the tag are from that set. The Merry Merry! is from O Christmas Tree!, again by Flourishes.

The bag is just a handled bag, approximately 5 x 9, from Wal-Mart. The designer paper used is from the Fruitcake Collection by Basic Grey, purchased from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. I love making gift bags and when I do I just cover the front of the bag. I cut the main piece (green) to fit the bag front, then decide how I’m going to decorate it before I adhere it to the bag. In this case I did the faux cross stitchesand wrapped the twill behind before adhereing to the bag. The green main piece is sponged with Old Olive ink on the edges.

The deer is black embossed, highlighted with a white gel pen. That panel is on mounting tape. The little tag is a portion of a tag cut-out that came with the Fruitcake paper pack. I framed it in black and stamped the To: and From:, punched the hole and ran the ribbon through. That’s about it!

  • Stamps: All by Flourishes: Flourished Christmas (deer), Rejoice (to/from), O Christmas Tree! (Merry)
  • Paper: Fruitcake Collection by Basic Grey, Whisper White, Basic Black
  • Ink: Basic Black, Old Olive, Versa Mark. Signo White Gel Pen. Black marker.
  • Accessories: Black Detail EP, Ribbons and Twill, Round punches: 1 1/4, 1 3/8, 1/4, Ticket Corner Punch, Dimensionals, Mounting Tape.

Fabulous!! I bought a bunch of bags recently, with the intention of covering them but have yet to do so. Do you cover the back with cardstock as well, or just the front??

  12. Michelle says:
