Please Pray
One week ago, on Satuday, 3/o8, a 14-year old boy from a neighboring community received a serious head injury while skiing. His name is Kurt Blake and his parents are Anna and Jerry. They are friends of ours. Kurt was airlifted to the Marshfield Clinic, and that is where he currently is.
Kurt is in serious need of prayer — miracles do happen — Kurt needs a miracle and your prayers can help. The Blake family is a family of extraordinary faith. They have been through far more trials than most, and their faith has always kept them strong. Please pray for Kurt’s family as well.
Kurt’s Uncle Steve has started a Blog where daily updates are posted. Anna, Kurt’s Mom, contributes to the Blog posts as well. Their faith is so evident and so strong — they are a family of true inspiration. God’s Blessings to them all with prayers for a miracle for Kurt.

Thank you for your prayers.

God is so good! I love he how uses a stampin’ web page to draw believers together to pray! God is in everything. I am praying for Kurt and his precious family and will continue to look for praise reports on their blog. Thank you for the opportunity to pray for Kurt.
I will definitely have Kurt in my prayers. Thank you for letting us know, and I totally believe in the Power of Prayer. I am sorry to hear of this, but the Lord knows what this family and this young man needs right now. God Bless.
We had a friend in our church who had a severe viral infection and went into a comma. Many held prayer vigils. Doctors first brain scan showed the brain was dead and when the second one was done about four days later the brain looked as healthy as ever and he came our of his comma! Yes, God can answer prayer!! Will pray for Kurt and his family during this difficult time and leave them in the Hands of the Almighty.
Oh Sharon, it’s so sad so see the loss of a young life and a family having to deal with one taken so quickly. I’m glad they have the assurance they will see him in heaven again.
I am so sorry to hear that Blake passed away. I am encouraged that they are believers, though. God has a plan even though we don’t understand. God bless you and I will continue to life you and Blake’s family in my prayers. Thanks for sharing his story.

Very sad.
Deep sympathy to the family.
Sharon,
Please rest assured that my thoughts and prayers are with Kurt’s family at this very difficult time along with your own. May everyone find peace.
I am so sorry, Sharon. I will definately uphold the family in prayer. Our congregation lost a 14 yr. old a few years back–it is incredibly hard on the family as well as the community.
{{hugs}}
Sharon, words cannot describe how sorry I am. We are not supposed to bury our children. I will continue to pray for his family, for the strength to get thru this ordeal.
So sorry to hear this sad news. My community in Harrogate England has sadly lost several young people recently through illness or accidents. I know how devastating it can be for family and friends. Prayer will keep you strong and will bring comfort to the family in their grief. It is wonderful you are using this great site to reach out to help those in need. God Bless
HI, what is the family’s address. I would like to send them a card. My nephew had a traumatic brain injury 3 yrs ago on June 20th. Luckily and through the Grace of God he survived. He was in a coma for 2 months in the traumatic brain injury unit at Columbia-St. Mary’s in Milwaukee, and in rehab for 4 months. He has survived but is not the same, although he lives by himself, works and drives, his cognitive skills are not the same.
He was truly a miracle. He was hit on his motorcycle by someone who did not stop.
My prayers are with you and your friends. This is such a terrible thing, but he is in a better place and in no pain now.

Oh, I am so sad. I lost my son 2 1/2 years ago, and I feel this family’s pain. Please let them know there are so many here in blogland that are thinking of them.
Deepest Sympathy to the Family and Friends of this young man.
It is so tragic to lose a child, and Kurt (from what I read in his blog) was an awesome boy. I felt comforted that his family knows our Lord and knows he is with him now. Someday, we will know why God needed our loved ones at such a young age. My prayers will be with his family and friends.
This is so terribly sad. I will pray for his family. So sorry for their loss.
So heartbroken to hear of their loss. I know that their faith will sustain them but what a lot to bear.
Praying for you too Sharon as you minister encouragement and support to them.
oh Sharon, I am so sorry for your loss and for Kurt’s family. Even for the faithful, the loss of a young person is so very hard. I will keep Kurt’s family, you and your family and the community in my prayers.
I am so, so sorry for the loss of this wonderful young man. His family will be in my thoughts.
Awww Sharon, I was so sad to read of Kurt’s passing today; the family will remain in my prayers for strength to get through this difficult time; May God bless us all.
I am so sorry this news wasn’t good. I will pray for peace for the family and that they continue to see God in their lives even in this dark time. I’m sending you a hug too. I know seeing friends in pain is so very difficult.
Sharon…this is a tragedy to say the least. This is so sad. I just logged onto your blog and saw the notice and was praying for Kurt when I scrolled a little further only to see that he had already passed away. I am a mom and a grandma. I lost my best friend when we were only children and I somewhat know how much of a loss it is…it changed/affected my whole life, and still does…although I have never lost one of my own, I can only imagine the grief. Is there an address where we can send Anna and Jerry a sympathy card? It’s the least we can do. If so, please email it to me. God bless you and all that you do.
Cindy – Brentwood, CA
I’m so sorry to hear of this outcome. Their grief must be immeasurable. My deepest sympathy to his family and all who loved him.
Sharon, thanks for posting this on our blog. I went back to Kurt’s blog and found out about his death. So sad. But what a wonderful testimony of this young man’s life and that of his family. Will continue to pray for them…and you as you minister to them as well. Blessings!
Sharon,
Thank you for being a light in this family’s life. We know that “to be absent from the body is to be present with Lord.” So while we rejoice for Kurt, our hearts ache for his family.
May God give you the words of comfort to share with this dear family.
Blessings,
Sharon I am so very sorry for the loss of such a young, young man. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain Kurt’s family is going through as my Daniel is 15 and I can’t imagine my life without either of my children, losing a child strikes terror in my heart and soul. I lost my brother when I was 27 and I well know the pain my parents went through, as did I. My prayers are with Kurt’s parents and entire family.
Sharon
