10 Minutes x 2

Published by at 1 36 am under General Purpose Cards

Here are 2 more 10 minute samples, which are possibilites as Make-N-Takes at the Sayner Spring Stampede in Sayner, WI. Anyone from out that way???? Flourishes is hitting the road, and I’ll be there!!! Fun, fun — can’t wait!!! If you are from that area, or anywhere reasonably close, here’s the link to the Stampede information. Scroll to the bottom of the page and there are many clickable headers.

This is done in Soft Sky, black and white. All stamps are by Flourishes. I used Damask for the background and Lace Heart, which was cut down in size with a heart shaped Nestability by Spellbinders. The Mother’s Day sentiment is from Siberian Iris, also by Flourishes. The ribbons used are by May Arts — black velvet and black sheer. The stamps, Nestabilities and ribbons are all from Flourishes.

I apologize for the color on this one — it is really Soft Sky but it’s looking more like Bashful Blue in the photo. This is very similar to the above card, using all the same supplies, but the sentiment is from Many Sentiments by Flourishes, and the dotted ribbon is also by May Arts from Flourishes. Once again, the Lace Heart is cut down with the heart shaped Nestability — gosh, I’ve been having fun cutting down my Lace Hearts today!!!

I’ve really enjoyed doing these super simple 10 minute cards — maybe I should start doing them one day each week — that mght be fun — how about Tuesday — 10 Minute Tuesday — does that sound good? That’s what I’ll aim for!!!

So, of the 3 cards done with the Soft Sky (2 above and 1 from the previous post), which would you prefer to do at a Make-N-Take? Thanks much!!! Have a great day!!!

I think I still like the first one best! The other 2 are lovely but I like the less stamping on it and the little bit of sparkles adds a nice touch. I would love to be there this weekend but too far away for me.

Any would be great but I think the Mother’s Day is the best considering the time of year. You will be a big hit.

Love both of them, I wish I could be at this “Make and Take”.
I’ll have to agree with Patricia, you will be a very big hit.

They are all beautiful, it would be hard to pick but I think I would pick yesterdays as my favorite. Sounds like a fun time!!

  7. Sherrie says:

They are all beautiful!! I think if I have to choose one it would be the first one from yesterday. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful cards!

Sharon, ALL of them are gorgeous – as per usual! My personal fave though is the second ‘Best Wishes’ card, the one with the plain black ribbon but with the dotty ribbon accent. With the simple, yet stunning style you have, any cards will be a hit, you just can’t go wrong with the easy elegance look you have perfected!

  9. Casie says:

My vote is for the second one on this post. The “Best Wishes” with the heart matted in black, however… they all look great!!

I am hoping to come to the Stampede!!! I have never been to it, but have wanted to for quite some time. I am from the Wausau area so it’s not too far of a drive for me. My DH and I are building a craft retreat in the Minocqua area too!! Wanna come to our Open House the end of May??? I would love to have you there sometime to do some classes! How fun would that be?!!

    Very elegant, very pretty.

  11. Oh my goodness! I could never make these in 10 minutes! For some reason, no matter what I do – I am a 60-120 minute girl…..I would love to try 10 Minute Tuesday~!
Your cards are just so classy!

  12. Debra says:

Oh, I wish I was going to the Stampede so I could stop in and say hi. I’m only an hour or so away. I’ll be filling in at the store for Becky and Karen, owners of Creative Spirits in Ironwood (MI), so *they* can be there! It’s a cool event. 🙂

  13. Debbie (DeborahLynneS) says:

Very pretty– are those heart Nestabilities? They look great!

  14. Peggy F says:

Sharon, they are all very nice, though I do seem to like the ones with the Damask background. Not sure why, but probably because I WANT it!! I hope you are bring plenty of goodies to Sayner, as I and 3 friends are making the trek to the Northwoods. We will be coming from the Madison area, so it’s a drive but well worth it. See you at the Stampede!!

Love all of the samples!! But my most fav is the Mother’s Day card. I would do any of these cards for a M&T.

  16. JoAnn says:

I like all 3. I would choose to do the 2nd one except for the sentiment seeings how my Mom is gone and I have my daughter’s card done already.
I love your idea of 10 minute Tuesday.

  17. Lynn says:

These are beautiful, I can’t believe that they only took 10 minutes, there so elegant!

  18. Maureen Ferguson says:

Oooh, I wish I could go to the Stampede! I grew up in that area of Wisconsin (in Eagle River – 15 minutes away). My very best friend lives in Sayner – but alas, I have moved south – WAY south (Texas). Have fun in the great Northwoods!

Sharon – I just LOVE your style and card ideas. I look forward to your blog posts EVERY day! Thanks for sharing your talent with the rest of us. You are such a blessing.

Oooooooh, ahhhhhhh…more 10 minute beauties! Gee, I thought you were going to make all three of them. Okay, if I had to choose — and, believe me, it’s a difficult choice because I love all of them — I’d choose the first one. Its fresh, clean look with all the white really appeals to me. They’re all pretty amazing!

  21. Charlene says:

As usual, all are beautiful but the first is my favorite! Love the idea of 10 min. Tuesday!!
