Stamp Simply SUO Birthday
This was a really quick birthday card I put together this morning using all the papers still on my table from yesterday’s sympathy cards. I used all the same cardstock and I flipped the DP over to the other side — I was in a super rush and it worked for me!!! This is for ayoung man and I think it does have a masculine-enough feel, while still using some great colors!
The interest on this card comes in part from the use of an embossing folder and my Scor-It to create double embossed lines above and beneath my zig zag embossing — SUCH a quick way to dress up a card when you’re in a rush.
Hint: Sometimes I have a bit of a hard time getting these narrow embossing folders straight on my paper. Well, if you score one line first, then you can butt your folder up against the scored line and it’s guaranteed to come perfectly straight. Then after runningit through the Cuttlebug with the folder, THEN I go back and add my other embossed lines on the Scor-It.
Stamps: Its Your Birthday
Paper: Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Urban Garden DP
Ink: Black Stazon, Craft White
Accessories: Large Star Punch, Vintage Brads, Scor-It, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder

This is a great card! I love how you used the new little embossing folder — and thanks for the tip! Great masculine card!
What a cool card! What I like best about your blog besides all the GREAT designs is your willingness to share all the tips you discover along the way! AND I agree Deb’s blog is wonderful – now I have two blog stops every morning!! What AWESOME friends I have. Thanks again Sharon.
Sharon, you showed a beautiful white card, not too long ago, with an embossed bird and you used scored lines, too; this was a great inspiration for me. Ordered the CB ef and made a beautiful sympathy card with it; added some scored lines, too, for more texture. Your tips for doing things a little easier or faster are great, such as using a scored line to emboss a border! I ordered a bunch of the border ef and can’t wait to try them out using your suggestion for ‘butting up against a scored line.’ Your blog is a treat to read and your projects and ideas are terrific!
I love this card. It is a perfect masculine card. Thank you so much for sharing it and the tip about the litttle cuttlebug folders. Have a great day.

Very nice!!! – In fact I think this is a great card for both a man/woman as I happen to love those colors and would be pleased as punch to receive this card.
